Milo's Birthday

Milo was more than thrilled to wake up the next morning to a birthday celebration. We decided it wasn't too fun to stay up late decorating after our drive home, but he was worth it. Look at that happy face!
He got his coveted Chase dog. He's been wanting it for quite a while.
We let him choose what he wanted to do and he chose miniature golf and pizza for dinner. He fell asleep on the way to dinner and we couldn't get him awake for a while.
Enjoying some grub.
Fun playing some golf.
Followed by some fun arcades.
Don't mind the random melted looking back. It fell all over. But he loved it, so that's all that mattered.  I got the picture that is made from frosting that melts onto it from Amazon. I was a big fan, I'd buy it again.
So crazy my baby is 3

On the Way Home

So Milo's birthday fell on Sunday the day that we drove home. We felt bad cause it's kinda a lame way to spend the day. His birthday will almost always fall during our trip. It's not ideal. We planned to celebrate the Monday we got back, but we let him open some presents on the trip home.
We decided to stop at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon on the way home. We aren't that way often, so we wanted to see it. We didn't plan to do any hiking while there, cause our kids were already post trip tired, but we had fun venturing around and riding the shuttle to a few stops.
Gabe loved trying to interpret all the Chinese we heard while there.
It really was very amazing.
So glad we stopped by. Next time will do some fun hiking, but for now we enjoyed the quick visit.
Goofing off on the way home.

Summer Regional-Sedona, AZ

So we went to Sedona AZ this year for the annual regional meeting. There are a few different ways for us to drive down there, but we took the scenic way that someone suggested. It was beautiful. Our kids weren't too bad on the way down. They were so excited to stay in a hotel. Adam had to be there earlier cause he was on the comity this year. So we drove down, stayed the night in Flagstaff, then drove the rest of the way in the morning. The hotel they pay for in Sedona was much nicer than the one we paid for in Flagstaff. Of course the first thing the kids wanted to do was swim.
We had to do a lot more swimming without Daddy this year cause he was more busy helping that other years. So that wasn't ideal. Makes me more excited for next year cause he won't have to help and he'll get to hang out with us more.
The cute lady at the bar where we got some lunch made the kids a yummy blue coconut smoothie. They were in heaven and spoiled.
The theme they did this year was a Charlie Brown one. So for their opening skit Adam was Schroeder the character that plays the piano. Charlie Brown isn't ideal in my mind, but whatever people liked it. I tried to show my kids what show it is, cause we had a themed dinner where we had to dress up. I don't love the show I think the characters are funny but rude. Not something I care to have my kids watching, but I explained enough that they were excited to be a character.
It reminded us of a Park City town in a desert setting.
They had this cute guy that brought his horse and sang.
Kids camp wasn't Milo's favorite but he survived. The other two loved it. Next year will be easier I think. I also think I say that every year.
We went with a group to a fishing pond farm. It actually was harder than we thought it would be to catch fish. Those suckers were smarter than we thought. They would come and steal your bait off your hook. So Milo caught one right away and squealed all giddy when we got it.
Ollie caught one and wanted nothing to do with it. He had fun catching it and was kinda bored and over it. He doesn't have the patience for it.
Gabe was the last to catch hers, and we were all happy when we could finally could get one to eat the dang bait.
No fear about holding the fish.
After we cooked them up and had some to eat.
Our Charlie Brown themed dinner. It was super fun to see what people came up with.
Gabe loved that there were other girls as Sally there.
Lucy and Sally
All the Charlie Brows at the dinner
Linus, Sally, and Charlie
More swimming time
We went to lunch with our good friends
Then afterwards we went to Baskin Robins
Our award night dinner. So proud of my husband and all he's accomplished this last year in his business.
We headed out the next morning. We were glad to be there, we always have such a nice time.
