Baby Proofing:

How to baby proof your house:

Just let them loose. You will soon learn to clean your floors more frequently than you are, tie up cords, rearrange furniture, put garbages under the sinks, close all closet doors, put the dog food and water up, close the door to your walk in shower, try to keep away from fire place, put locks on the cupboard doors, put away the dog's bones after she is through eating them, close bathroom doors so the toilet is not assessable- why that porcelain object is interesting i have no idea, clean off bottom shelves, pull on furniture to make sure it can't come toppling down, get on your hands and knees and see what looks appealing to you at that height, etc.

Gabe is getting a lot more independent and FAST at crawling if you couldn't tell. It is an adventure.

9 months

We are hitting that 9 month landmark today. It is crazy to me. We met a woman at the park whose daughter was born the exact same day as Gabe. Small world, it was weird to see how both of them have come along. Gabrielle has come a long way in the last month. I think that if we've learned anything about Gabe it's that she is so independent lately. She wants to do things herself and wants to do it on her own time. There is no rushing this child if she isn't ready. Here are her new traits:
-She decided one day she'd start crawling. I really thought it'd be a while longer, goes to show it's when she decides.
-She sits up on her own, pulls herself to her knees, and is pulling herself to her feet.
-She points to everything with her pointer finger
-She says Greta, and is close to saying duck. That's right folks, she says the dog's name before Mama. HAHA! I say Mama to her a million times a day and she just thinks it's funny.
-She tries to drink her bath water. She will stick her whole face into the water, and it doesn't phase her. She no longer gets to play with her cup in the tub, due to her trying to drink it.
- She is eating all kinds of food. She would rather eat what you are eating. She loves crackers. She'd eat them all day if you let her.
-Her fit throwing is getting more dramatically intense. Especially when she is hungry and you can't get food to her fast enough.
-She is still our itsy bitsy bug. She is a whoppin 15 pounds, and has slowed down in height too. I think he said she's 26 1/2 inches.  The doctor predicts her to be tiny (Still healthy), and finally plump up around 18 months. He says that's usually the pattern you see. Yeah we'll see I guess.
-She has been such a Mama's girl lately, which is sweet.
-Lately as soon as she sees Adam she'll crawl as fast as she can to him laughing and smiling the whole way. She'll hold out her arms to him. It's cute and he loves it.
-She wants to cuddle and kiss you more and more.
We love having her in our home she is such a blessing. Happy 9 month booger!

I usually try and post a bunch of different pictures from throughout the month, but I did a lot of posts with them. So here are some pics of our recent park trip, and some I tried getting for in her dress. Sorry they are similar.

Our Park Trip:
Trying to eat the wood chips. She wasn't the biggest fan of the slide and didn't quite get the whale, but...
She LOVES the swing!

(we were all entertained by feeding the Geese until they started hissing at us to get food. Feisty birds)

Some Pics I tried taking before she'd crawl away:

Some around the house:
Pushing her "walker" stroller. She doesn't really have a baby doll to push in it, so her bear volunteered.
Eating her big girl food:

(Totally oblivious to the turkey stuck to her face)

HAPPY V-DAY!

Gabe says Happy Valentines everyone! She loves you all! We both went to get Gabe when she woke up and gave her a love puppy. (a stuff animal dog. She loves it, for a few minutes anyway) She was more excited both parents were there to hang out. Gabe hopes everyone's day is just as sweet as hers!

Back it up

Gabe my not be crawling forward quite yet, but she is excellent at putting it into reverse. (She ends up under the beds a lot.) She actually crawls backwards to help her sit up. This is where she ended up this morning....inside her toy basket. She, as well as myself, found it pretty humorous. I figured I'd show you our girl in action.

CONFESSIONS

10 Confessions About Me

TIME TO CONFESS TEN THINGS ABOUT YOURSELF

Confession Number One: I am on blogger far too much. Maybe it's cheap entertainment? I probably put too many random stuff on my blog, but it keeps me entertained.

Confession Number Two: I still love reality TV. I know it's not as big as it used to be, but I'll watch anything reality TV. I am fascinated by the way people act on camera. I love the disney channel, and other cheezy kid flicks.

Confession Number Three: I wish I had all of my husband's qualities, and none of mine. HA. :)

Confession Number Four: I want what everyone else has it seems. Sad I know. I covet too much.

Confession Number Five: I am the biggest Home Body. I could not go anywhere all week and be rather content to be at home. I think that I make Adam nervous sometimes. He'll send me out on errands to get me out. Ha. I love doing stuff around my house, and the comfort of our home. I guess it's a good thing we're poor, cause watching movies at home keeps me happy. I know if I go to stores I'll want stuff. When it gets warmer I am excited to take Gabe out a lot though.

Confession Number Six: I have this huge long list of new things I want to get into. I add a new one all the time I swear. I have a million things I want accomplished in life. I'm an impatient person so it's hard for me not wanting everything done now. I'm also becoming an organized freak. It's all that time at home I think.

Confession Number Seven: I am secretly afraid of relief society. Having a calling in it would be my biggest fear. HA!

Confession Number Eight: I never really craved sweets until I got pregnant.(pregnant with Gabe-I'm not making an announcement!) Now I am always craving something sweet. IT IS REALLY ANNOYING! Also since being pregnant the bottom layers of my hair go curly. I don't attempt to do my hair curly, cause I HAVE NO IDEA how to do one's hair in a cute curly way. :) Plus the top layer is straight and wont curl. What's a girl to do?

Confession Number Nine: I am so moody. It annoys me. My poor husband. I have no patience either.

Confession Number Ten: I wish I was more "girlie" sometimes. I just can't bring myself to be into fashion, shoes, jewelry, or make up. I think I'd look more like a mom instead of a teenager if I dressed more girlie. I see other people wearing cute stuff, and I like it, but it never feels right on me. I'm too into comfort I guess, and that stuff doesn't feel comfy to me. Oh well. I guess I'll stay kinda butch with my t-shirts and flip flops. :)

I hope you all still love me :)

I tag all of you who have something to confess

So Many Questions

So now that Gabe had learned she can sit up in her crib, she does it as soon as I lay her down. I'm not sure if she knows how to get back down. So she starts crying. So do you go in and lay her down over and over, to emphasize your point of nap time. Or do you let them figure it out on their own and cry? I know when she is playing on the floor she'll go back and forth from sitting to laying. So does she really know how to get back down or not? She is already pulling her self up on stuff to stand so I'm sure it's not long before she starts that one in her crib too. It still throws me off going to get her from her nap and seeing her sitting waiting for me. I had Adam go get her this morning so he could see how weird it is. It threw him off too. She is getting to big too fast, where did my baby go? :(

SUPER BOWL SUNDAY

The Super Bowl in my family is kinda a big deal. It's like another holiday basically. So even though we couldn't make it out to Utah this year like previous years to watch the Super bowl with my family, we had to watch it here. Especially since Adam is such a Steelers fan. SO of course he was rooting for them to win. I of course had to root for the opposite team, cause they were considered the underdog. We filled out parley cards here and I got every one right! Of course the year we aren't in Utah. HA. Really I don't care too much about watching football, but I like the commercials. I enjoyed the 3D ones, cause it was a nice change. I missed some, and we never saw the famous 1 second commercial. Maybe it was so short we missed it? We invited some buddies over, ate some good grub, had some yummy dutch oven dessert, and had a pleasant evening of trash talking.
Gabe supporting Daddy and the Steelers by wearing their colors.

TOUCHDOWN!!!

Trash talking

Gabe and Owen playing with the bath stuff later on, it was a
lot more exciting than watching Bruce
