Happy Halloween!

Well a few days before....
Ollie and his Buddy Truman

We did all our school parties and parades. Ollie realized that he did NOT love the attention that Anger got him, so for his second school we just let him go as a fireman. Once we were all painted together he didn't care, but the solo attention was not his thing at all.

His "big school" as he calls it cause it's at the intermediate school, had a parade. A simple one with just the Preschoolers, but he loved it.
His teacher Ms Jody
His Buddy Hank
Hank invited Ollie and some of the other kids over later that day for a Halloween party. Ollie had a blast.
We went to Gabe's school Friday for her school parade. It was a little unorganized but that's ok we got to see her and we were all happy.
Some random friend shots
On Halloween.....
Gabe had her last soccer game on Halloween. Aunt Michele was able to come watch. We were happy to have her.
Sadness, Bing Bong, Joy, Anger, and Fear
The whole Inside out family. I had said to Adam one night that he and I should be Inside out emotions for Halloween cause we could get stuff from the DI for cheap. The kids heard and wanted to be them too. Gabe especially. She loves group costumes more than I do. Ollie was back and forth, and Milo just wanted to be Bing Bong most of the time. So we are missing a Disgust emotion, cause we didn't have another girl, but I think we made up a pretty cute group. Although a lot of people haven't seen the show yet.
I couldn't find a short haired blue wig so I ended up having to cut one for Gabe's costume. It turned out pretty good seeing is how I have no idea how to cut hair.
You can't tell so much, but Ollie's hair was orange. In the movie when Anger gets really mad, his head starts on fire.
Milo as Bing Bong. People who hadn't seen the show were super confused by him, but he loved it. His school class supposedly took pictures and were supposed to email them to us, but I haven't seen one yet.
We went to the Trunk or Treat. We painted a console like the one they use in the movie, with a screen to show up Riley, the girl in the movie. Then the balloons were supposed to be the memory balls that are in the movie. We actually one first place for best trunk. The bishopric told us we deserved all the awards, but it wouldn't be fair so they gave us the best trunk. It was a little weird since I made the certificates, but oh well.
Pictures with friends
Afterwards we went thick or treating around our neighborhood. We kept running into our neighbors so we ended up just going together. WHICH ended up being kind of annoying for us cause some of their kids weren't the best behaved. Well mainly this other ward member who came too with his son. We would have rather it been just us, but oh well. Milo hitched a ride in the wagon with Anilee.
Gabe wrote this story and drew this picture about us.

13 Days of Halloween Fun

I gotta be honest, I tried to get out of doing my 13 days this year. Our lives are so hectic. I feel like I don't even have time to clean my house let alone do projects. BUT my kids would not have it. I've created little festive monsters! Ha! So I sucked it up and did it, letting them know there are just some days we wouldn't have time to do lots. Milo was SOOOO fun this year. He loved decorating for Halloween. Whenever we dropped off the other two at school he would beg me to drive around so he could look at Halloween decorations on everyone's houses and yards. He told me daily we needed more and where we should put something. It was adorable. I can't wait for Christmas, he is gonna be so fun. Anyway, her are some pics I did manage to get of some of our stuff. I didn't take pics of it all.
Someday even if we don't do the 13 days, my kids will probably still make me have our Halloween spooky dinner. Haunted House day is by far their favorite, because we get to dress up and eat spooky stuff. The rule is you have to come as something spooky. We usually just end up rotating costumes, but they love it.
Michael sell these super fun foam building kits of Halloween stuff. Last year we did a cute haunted house. I bought some of the bigger ones that were on sale this year and I'll probably never do them again. Kinda a nightmare. We did a spooky haunted ship, an Ice Scream shop, and Dracula playing his spider organ. I threw them out. Hard to rebuild. Next year I'll stick to the small ones I think.
Vampire day we have a Dracula's mystery dinner. Ollie wasn't a fan this year so it wasn't as fun as we could have liked.

These ladies in my ward get together for girl's night every so often. Now I LOVE festive people, and girl's night are fun, BUT I don't love big group gatherings. These aren't my thing. They are like Relief Society gatherings to me. That's not a bad thing, it just means I'll be in the corner and attempting to make polite conversation the best I can. I'd rather go with one or two friends and actually feel like I can get to know someone instead of just pilot conversation to get you through the party. I KNOW that sounds lame, but that's me. I ended up dragging my good friend with me who is just as socially awkward. Ha! I kinda only went cause the other counselor in our Primary Presidency was hosting it. Not sure I'll make it to another one soon, but it was ok.
Pumpkin day is our last day and we carve our pumpkins to sit on our porch for Halloween.
Gabe loves the goo, the boys still did not. Milo wouldn't touch it. They all carved a lot of their pumpkins this year. It was nice.
We usually carve something they are into that year. Ollie's is Mario, Milo wanted paw patrol at first but changed to a spooky face. Gabe wanted a JOY pattern to go along with her costume, but we couldn't find one. So she did Jack the pumpkin King's face from Nightmare Before Christmas. My kids are obsessed with that show this year and it's songs.
When Milo went with me to buy pumpkins he begged for this little baby one that we didn't even want to attempt to carve. So he told me to draw a sad baby face on it. Then he wanted a sad baby face doggy, so that's what we tried to make it into. Silly boy.
They all turned out super awesome!

Doc Stats

I still haven't found a doctor that I love for my kids since we moved back to Utah. We decided we'd try this pediatrician that is in the same office building as Adam's office. The main guy is trying to start up his nephew, and I love the main guy he seems great. But I'll probably get sent to the nephew or the nurse practitioner when we go, and I don't know that I love that. Oh well. It's nice that my kids are getting older, so I don't stress too much. I got all of them in for their annual check ups at the same time. It was a tad crazy, but we did it. Here are some cute pics of our kiddos and their doctor stats.

GABRIELLE
Gabe at age 7 weighs 41.4 pounds making her in the 4th percentile for her weight. Yep, she's our string bean still. She is 44.5 inches putting her in the 2nd percentile for her height. And there's the Weiss genes shining through. It's ok, I'll take it on my girls instead of either boy. She's healthy, smart, and besides the vision test passed everything else with flying colors.
These two love when they are "twiners" at school
Chinese homework
Teeth are all healthy too
Crazy hair and sock day at school for red ribbon week
Always creative, even with her french fries

OLLIE

Ollie at age 5 weighs 41.4 pounds putting him in the 54th percentile. He is 43.5 inches tall putting him in the 61st percentile for his age. He just where he needs to be. He passed the eye test well and any other thing the doctor threw at him. He got all his shots updated for immunizations so he's ready for Kindergarten. He wasn't very happy about it, but he did it.
He recently had another x-ray check up as well. The doctor has always said we needed to watch both the left and right sides of the bone to made sure that it doesn't overgrow and make his leg lopsided. We discovered that those aren't what we need to worry so much about as the front and back of the bone where the break happened. I guess the back is starting to grow more than it should. We have to watch it and on his next x-ray at the beginning of the year, if it's overgrown he might need surgery. Not ideal, but we'll find out what we can do about it soon.
Got his in to see the dentist too. Ollie grinds his teeth at night like crazy and has for a few years now. They are starting to grind down and so we took him in to get an opinion about it. The dentist basically just told use there isn't anything they can do this young. That he won't keep a mouth gaurd in and they'll all fall out soon and his mouth might adjust with different teeth. He asked if there was recent stress like a divorce or anything else that would cause him to grind. Adam and I just looked at each other and said not that we know of. Kinda silly and not sure we loved the dentist doing nothing about it. What happens when he haves that habit when he had permanent teeth soon? The supposedly don't do guards unless they are around ten or so. So we might have teeth issues with this kid if he keeps doing it. Doesn't look like it's ending any time soon. So add that to the lovely to deal with list.

MILO
Milo at age 3 weighs 34.4 pounds putting him in the 63rd percentile. He is 38.5 inches in height making him in the 53rd percentile. Sometimes I really do feel like I have triplets when I look at them. One of them will shoot up with a growth spurt and then they'll level off and be close until another growth spurt happens. Milo keeps up with them just fine. Sometimes I think he'll end up the tallest of us all.

So even though Gabe is itsy bitsy, Ollie ends up with some doctor bill every year, and Milo is constantly sick, I am sooooooo grateful for such healthy happy cute kids.
