Smiles

Today was a happy day for our daughter. So she is always smiling while sleeping, and grins here in there when awake. Today she decided to cheese it at me full on. The biggest smile ever, while looking at me wide eyed. I hope it's the first of many to come. I didn't get a picture of it, but was excited none the less. I had to share, cause it was one of those fun moments I think only parents can really understand. You watch them develop, and it's the small simple things that get you all excited. Anyway here are some Pictures of our girl in purple. I decided she looks adorable in purple and needs more of it. She has too much pink.....  :)

Lovin the B.B.Q.

So I was makin dinner tonight and the food looked so good I just wanted to look at it rather than eat it. So to be nice to everyone I thought I would share the joy. We love our BBQ it was one of our most excited items to get back when we got in our house(our apt didn't allow them fire code). BBQ food is the best I hope you all enjoy our dinner as much as we did.

I have been covering up Gabe when taking her in the sun. She isn't quite in love with her sun hats, they are all too big. She still looked adorable though. She'll be fit in them before we know it. 

Gabe's newest buddy

So some good friends of ours here just had their beautiful baby boy. It's Gabe's newest buddy. Adam and I got in a discussion about her knowing him before they came here. Brings you back around to the big picture doesn't it? So we went to the hospital to see him. We had to take some pictures.

2. Who eats more? Usually Adam, there are some things I could probably best him at

3. Who said, "I love you" first?  That would be him, up in the mountains....awww

4. Who is taller?  Yeah he is, I'm not much competition there

5. Who is smarter? I got the sciences, He's got the social sciences, we're lost causes when it comes to math and english. Our poor kids

6. Who is more sensitive? That would be my category. Sometimes too much I'm afraid

7. Who does the laundry? Lately me, cause I've got the time. Adam helps when he can

8. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? It depends on if it's closest to the door....I'm not going into my freakish reasons why. HA. Currently he does.

9. Who pays the bills? That would be him, but I hear I might take it over.

10. Who cooks more? Lately that seems so foreign to us. We are starting to get back into it though. I will be, unless I want it grilled.

11. Who is more stubborn? Ask me at the beginning of our marriage, and I would have said me. I think he's learned to be to deal with me

12. Who is the first to admit they are wrong? We're both pretty good at that

13. Who has more siblings? Hmm well technically me i suppose.

14. Who wears the pants in the relationship? I would say Adam in a subtle way

15. What do you like to do together? Anything outdoors: camping, hiking, mountain biking, going to the lake. Watching movies, eating out, anything that involves our girls. Pretty much anything is good when we all get to hang out.

16. Who eats more sweets? If it's in the house we'll both indulge. We try to keep them out and we don't miss them. 

17. Guilty Pleasures? Anything newer and better than the one we already have I'm afraid. 

18. How did you meet? Some crazy coworker of mine who promised she wasn't trying to "hook me up"

19. Who asked whom out first? That would be him, but I'm not sure when we started  technically dating

20. Who kissed who first? That would be me, cause he was too chicken. HA!

22. His best features and qualities? His smile, laugh, butt, and  mountain biking calves. His selflessness, and willingness to help. He is the best dad ever. He puts us first, and always makes me laugh. He always has new ideas and wants to try new things.He brings me joy.

So our friends here have started up their own photography company. Our adorable daughter gets to model for their portfolio. They did an awesome job, and we loved how they turned out. Happy one month Gabrielle!

So today is Gabe's one month mark. It's amazing how fast time has flown, and how quickly she has grown. It seriously seems like we were just at the hospital. So many things have changed in four weeks. She already wants to see all of the world in one day. She's constantly looking around at everything. She focuses so well on objects and people. Her skin had cleared up and has that new baby feel. Hurray! Her hair is lighter by the day, and going blond (we think) fast. She is officially in her own room, and doing great. She always has a huge smile waiting on her face for you first thing in the morning. She is always happy once Daddy is home from work, and smiles when she hears his voice. She loves her Greta dog who follows her everywhere she goes. We just love her very much, and we're so happy she has blessed our family!

Stylin

Poor Gabe gets to be Mommy's dress up doll some days. Even though these are far too big for her, I had to take a picture anyway... can you blame me?

Hiking

Adam and I are always raving about the mountains here. So of course the weather is warming up fast, so we had to get outside and do what we love best.....PLAY! We decided to try some new hiking trails. It was fun to venture out and see some new scenic sights we could discover. We thought we'd show off some of the reasons we love living where we do.

Boppy

So i love my boppy for more reasons than one I found out today. It put my child to sleep in two seconds and she slept very soundly on it for a bit. Ha. I set her in it so she could sit up, which she loves to do now, and she was out in a flash. Her are some pics, it was cute.

Morning Walk

So Gabe, Greta, and I have started some morning walks this week. Even though the weather is getting hotter by the day, the mornings are still a little brisk. So we get Gabe all suited up to go. She falls fast asleep and doesn't make a sound the whole way. The second we get home and stop moving she knows it, and it wide eyed. Greta likes to check in on Gabe and make sure she's still in there.

Father's Day

So Adam being the awesome father that he is, spent his first Father's day like so: Caring for our baby girl. After being stuck home with me, she just wanted to cuddle with her Daddy when he got home from church. He made things all better, and she was quickly fast asleep. What an awesome Dad he already is. 

Our house

So here are a few pics of the fun little house that we are renting. We are really enjoying living in it. Greta is loving having a yard. It's three bed, two bath which is nice. That means that we have a guest bedroom for those of you who want to come and visit. :) Tahoe is just around the corner.

Sickie

So our doctor told us that our baby girl might get congested, and the is was especially common here because of how dry the air is. I guess they still have water in their lungs after they are born and they have to adjust to the air, so a lot of the time they get congested because of it. Thanks you dry Nevada air. So the last couple of days are girl has been feelin yucky. Her temp has been good though, so no worries. Man nothing makes you feel more worthless than watching your child be sick, and unable to do a thing about it.  She's on the up swing and feelin better by the day. So here are our lounge clothes that we've been hanging out in this weekend.

Grandma Kristi

Grandma Kristi comes to visit. She helped us out with lots of things, and made us some yummy meals. Thanks Grandma we love you!

So I decided that even though my daughter isn't loving baths quite yet, it's still fun to give her one.  She is the biggest cuddler afterwards. Adam got to cuddle with her here and loved every minute of it. We were noticing how fun her cheeks are getting. She's rounding up. She also is in a three month sleeper here. AHHH! Not because she is round enough to fit into it (as you can observe), but because she has THE LONGEST legs and they are the only thing that fit her. She has her daddy's skinny long legs and a short torso. So I'm feeling that clothes might be a little tricky when it comes to this one...
