Caching

We did some caching this weekend, Gabe really wanted to. It's hard to go in the city, cause getting the kids in and out and in and out gets old fast. For us and for them. So we usually try to go up in the hills or mountains somewhere where there are enough close together we can hike around to. That's what we ended up doing after a few city finds. We let Gabe find them, she was so proud. The toys inside were quite lacking, which is sad, but we took a few in the last one anyway. At one point we had to drive down this random deserted dirt road to get close to another cache, so we just threw the kids on our laps. They loved "driving" the car. I wouldn't do this normally if we hadn't been in the middle of nowhere and only driving for a few seconds. We had a nice day despite the stickers in our socks and shoes.

Picture Update

Blogging is getting even more trickier due to my little man. If he sees me at the computer he wants up to try to push buttons or play with the mouse. He LOVES the computer right now. It fascinates him. When I don't let him, he screams and we battle, and it's easier just to get off. So I never get much computer time. Then when he's asleep, I am too. Ha! At nights I'd rather hang out with Adam than blog, so I'll try to be better....somehow. :) Plus Blogger won't save any of my drafts for like the last week. It's very frustrating when you try to get a little done, and try to save it, and it says it saves, and you come back and it's not there. GRRRR. It happened too many times this week that I just stopped worrying about it. I also don't have anything very exciting to report, so...It gives me a good excuse to slack.

Anyway here are some pics of just us around the house.

Playing Outside

Baking cookies for FHE and sampling the limes I used, don't mind my pile of dishes

In the morning they cuddle together to watch cartoons

Our newest daily activity is having a dance party in the dark with glow sticks. I know the pics are dark, that's kinda the point.
They go down the slide then dance along the runway of yoga mats, and use the stool to climb on the couch to dance along it.

At 18 Weeks

Even though I'm rounding on 19 weeks, I figured I'd still post about this week. I don't think I'll do a post ever week, but I figured I'd try to keep updated on changes. This week my normal queasiness has chilled out a bit in the evenings. This made me pretty excited thinking I was on the mend. Until it just moved to the mornings. *sigh* I hadn't actually thrown up in a week so I was really proud of myself. That was a big achievement. Until yesterday I couldn't hold anything down. Dang I was doing so good! Oh well. I actually have been pretty good about keeping my house clean. This is another big achievement for me. :) Well except dishes. I usually have some of those to do, cause they are still hard for me to do.

My newest pregnancy side effect this week: the metallic taste in the mouth. I never understood why women get this one. It's so weird. Luckily it hasn't been extreme. We have our ultrasound on Thursday. We are excited. I've been feeling baby move like crazy it's nice when they are little enough that it isn't uncomfortable. It moves mainly in the evenings.

I don't love getting dressed most days. It's a hard realization when something that fit you last week is crazy tight in places other than you're belly. It's hard to see your whole body blowing up like a balloon. Ha! Guess its time to start exercising. I usually don't get much in during my first trimester feeling yucky. And since I still feel yucky it's a little tricky. Gotta start something.

Anyway enough rambling. That's the latest and the greatest as of now. Another week down.

At 17 Weeks....

I figured I should start up on these. Even though most of you probably don't love reading my pregnancy rants, but if this ends up being our last kiddo, I'll be happy I recorded stuff. We might be done after three. If you were to ask Adam he would tell you yes. I think that you'd have to ask me after this one. I think if we do have another we'll wait a few years. ANYWAY not important at the present time. So you can skip over reading these if you'd like.

At 17 weeks I wish I could report that I've got energy and feeling great. Nah, still vomiting. Bleh. At least this week it's not every day. I still feel like puking every day, but I don't. Most of the time I'd like to just throw up and get it over with, but I'm SOOOOO over it. I'm done throwing up. Pregnant with Gabe I threw up for around 18 weeks. (ollie i felt good around 13) For this reason Adam thinks it's trying to tell us it's a little girl. Even though we've heard from some people the same sex pregnancies tend to be the same, and other say it's totally bogus and they are all different. I guess we'll see how it works with me. I think it's a boy, but my motherly instinct has been wrong with every child so far, so it probably will be a girl. Ha! Either way we don't care which it ends up being, and we're excited. I would lean more to a boy so that Ollie can have a close play buddy, and cause the girl gap would be kinda bigger, but a sister would make Gabe so very happy. She used to say she'd be happy with either, but lately she is saying she wants a sister. Our ultrasound is Feb 2nd. I'm really hoping that we don't see anything and that they don't tell us the sex. I'll be so sad if some idiot slips and we've waited.

Anyway I have been feeling the baby move since around the 10th, which I love love love. I remember the date cause we put Greta down and I was super sad that day. Maybe baby could sense that I needed some cheering up. It worked. What good timing. I don't feel as exhausted as I did, but I still am taking advantage of naps when I can. :) I know that sounds a little silly, but it gives me energy. Plus I've had killer headaches despite how much water I drink, and it tends to help when meds can't. The headaches are a fun new thing with this one. I got some with Ollie, but these ones are all the time. Oh the joys of new experiences. I am happy to report my usual killer hip pain isn't there as badly as it was with my other second trimester. Hurray! I'll take it. Maybe my hips are getting used to moving around, or they are just wide enough already. :) Half of my prego clothes are still hidden somewhere in a box in Kami's basement. Including all prego pants and needed skirts. So I've been trying to make due until we go up there the beginning of February. It's getting really challenging. Everything is starting to squeeze very uncomfortably. Luckily I don't go many places and I can lounge in t-shirts and whatever pajama pants I can find that don't squeeze. Anyway I'm not sure what else there is "report", so I'll leave it at that. Here's to another week of survival.

Time Together

We decided to go do something different for Adam's holiday day off. We have been looking into some family/kid stuff in our area to do with our kiddos. We decided that we would go to the wild life museum that is here. It's kinda a small version of the bean museum in provo. We wondered if the kids would love it, especially since we had to make it clear to Gabe it wasn't a zoo, and the animals weren't alive. Ollie was stoked to be able to ride in his stroller the whole time, and look at animals. He pointed and squealed in excitement the whole time. Gabe was stoked, cause they gave her kid binoculors to look at all the animals with. We were glad we went, we all liked it a lot. All of the pics are from my phone, so not as good of quality, but my battery died after one picture.

This was the kid play room we stopped in

This was the bug room. It was actually my favorite part. It had some crazy stuff.

Gabe thought the pretend footprints everywhere were cool and real. She also thought the animal noises coming out of the speakers were real too.

It's St George's 150th birthday. So by the museum, in the dixie center they had a bunch of booths and displays set up to celebrate. They had genealogy stuff like you wouldn't imagine, church historical stuff, high school and college memorabilia, a live band, and a bunch of old people walking around like pioneers. It was cute. We would have walked around for a while, but the kids were done so we left after a pretend ride on the old fire truck.
