Memorial Day Weekend

We had a nice long busy weekend. We didn't have any travel plans, but hung out around our house. So we didn't do anything crazy, but we had some fun. Adam took this picture this weekend, we thought it was appropriate to start this post. :) Here's our list of events:

Ollie is starting to warm up to the idea of sharing things with Milo. This Friday it was his sucker. :)
We took the kids down to the water park and to the carousel.
We then came home and had our traditional Friday night BBQ pizza night and the kids played more outside in water. We haven't bought a pool for them yet but plan to soon. Milo was cute trying to copy shooting with his squirt gun.
Rolling the ball back and forth to Daddy. He loves this.
Ollie got put in time out cause he was super grumpy. I came to talk to him a few minutes later and found him fast asleep. So sleepy we couldn't wake him. So it was an early bedtime for him. Busy day I guess.
Monday we went hiking up Kolob by Zions. It was beautiful.
We even caught a lizard after some trial and error. Gabe named it speedy-nail cause it was fast and had long nails. :)
Ok so I think I mixed the order on all of these. Oh well. We have a million grasshoppers everywhere right now much to Gabe's delight.
I couldn't help posting a million of these, he was pulling the funniest faces.
Watching a church show for FHE.
After a long weekend of entertaining the kids we were beat, but it was worth it.

Preschool Graduation!

Thursday morning Gabrielle had her Preschool graduation ceremony. It was so cute. Earlier in the week they had been practicing for it and she made us an invitation to it. We decided that at school she would go by Gabrielle, cause there is a little boy Gabe, so it was funny to hear everyone call her that. All her classmates know her as that, and the church ones know her as Gabe.

They did such a cute job. They one by one went up to talk in the microphone to say what they learned in Preschool that year. They went in a line. The first boy had everyone say the pledge, and then one by one they had the class do something or they did something. One girl read a bunch, they told time, said letters and sounds, spoke in spanish, showed how they could spell words, etc.
When it was Gabe's turn she talked about how they learned all their shapes in school. She then would hold up a shape and ask the class what it is and they'd tell her. She had like six to hold up.
Then they played this song that they put a bean bag on all these different body parts and threw them up and caught them. It was cute. We were proud that Gabe only dropped her once.  ;)  A lot of kids had theirs all over.
Milo made it a little tricky. Ollie lost interest after about ten minutes of it as well. So we entertained Milo with food and Ollie with a phone at the same time trying to watch, take pictures, and take video. Phew.

They then sat down again and one by one again said what their favorite Preschool song was and then they would sing it. Whose ever turn it was used a prop to lead the song. So they sang a bunch of short little songs. It was super cute. Gabe said her favorite was some Jack in the Box song. So when they sang it she got to hurry and wind this Jack in the Box. The whole program was like 45 minutes. Maybe it's cause I'm a parent and was so proud, but it was so stinkin cute to watch. All of it.
This is Mrs Takau (Ta-cow) her teacher. She was great. Gabe loved her.
This is Briana who Gabe actually had recently started playing with the last couple of months. She and Emma are all we hear about. We didnt get a picture with Emma in time though.
Gotta get a picture by one of the bears. They have two on the lawn every day. When there is a holiday or special occasion they are dresses in different things. When they first learned letters they would hold the letter of the day. Gabe loved seeing what they'd have next.
We went home and set up a timer to snap a few pics of the family. This is what we came up with.
Congrats cute girl! Now onto the awesome Kindergarten you are so excited to start. Ah! Atleast I have all of summer to warm up to the idea of her growing up.
