Pioneer Day

Happy Pioneer Day!
Really the day was pretty low key for us. We were just fine with that. Daddy had
Pink eye so we were very chill. We did go to the parade so Gabe could ride in it with our ward. That's all the parade is made up of, is ward primaries. It's ok it's cute. Plus they all throw a ton of candy! We got so much, and even gave more than half away.
This was our ward "float" and our new bishop pulling it with his tractor. The parade theme was, "R U 1 2?" (Meaning are you a pioneer too) So our kids could either come dressed as a pioneer or a modern day missionary. And it was a little random. Ha! Gabe chose missionary which was good cause I didn't have to come up with pioneer gear. The primary presidency couldn't get the missionary name tags printed in time so everyone looked a little meshed. Oh well. Gabe loves riding in it. Ollie was super sad he couldn't ride in it, and was a little grumpy about running for candy by himself, but he eventually got into it.
This next one wasn't our ward, but was our favorite. It was really cute. Their primary kids rode pretend hay horses.

Milo was super content to watch it all and eat his breakfast. We had an early start so he had his cereal to go in a cup. :)

We did some snaps, sparklers, and these other loud fireworks that freaked the kids out a bit. Ollie would tell Daddy he could go ahead and light one when he was securely hidden behind a chair peeking out to see.
We hung outside for a little bit and ate lunch and rode bike. We also watched some planes and helicopters fly and land at the airport. Eventually a skydiver came and landed at the airport too. He yelled to us as he came down-he was right over us for a bit.  :)

Milo was a fan of the fireworks as well.

Recent Kiddo Pics

My camera decides when it wants to cooperate. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. Usually when it does kinda work, it makes all my pictures dark-which is obnoxious.  So some of them still are a little darker than I would like, but better than nothing. We did manage to get it to work long enough to take some recent pics of the kiddos. We didn't get 5 year old pics and 1 year old pics of the kids. Adam needs some new one for his office as well. So Saturday we attempted it. Getting all the kids to look and smile, and have the pic half decent was tricky. Thanks to Adam who gets their attention well. We cut Milo's hair before we took them, which was kinda odd to see him in the pics, cause he looked a lot different with short hair.

Around the House

Here are some random pics of stuff we've been up to in the last little bit.
Ollie isn't a fan of the horses right now, but likes the benches
Milo's first carousel ride. He would love it at times, and not like it at times.
He's loving summer foods-watermelon, corn on the cob, popsicles, etc.
Movie Night
When Gabe has ballet class the boys and I get to play at parks. It's fun to see them play together, and to see Ollie want to help and show Milo everything.
More face painting requests. This time they asked me to make them doggies.
Our RS president has this fun pool and every few weeks invites a bunch of young moms in the ward over to socialize. It's smart on her part, a nice way to get to know the younger ladies in the ward who have callings other places. My kids loved it, cause they also had a tramp, yummy goodies and a snow cone machine.
Playing at the water park during Gabe's ballet class
Cuddling Daddy-I love watching our kids with their Daddy
He would ride the rocking horse then get off to cuddle it, then continue riding.
Milo now sleeps with a pillow, and loves it. Ollie now thinks he needs to cuddle his small football when he sleeps. Kinds cute, the kids are both into playing football and catch with Daddy, so he loves it.
