Love My Boys

Ollie, just trying to be like Daddy. I love Sundays when he can observe the boy stuff when getting ready. Too many days he sees me with make up and wants some too not being old enough to understand that boys don't wear it. Gabe and I have to paint our nails when he's asleep now so we don't have to argue with him. So when he gets to observe Daddy doing boy things, I am grateful. Plus it's just adorable.

Stitches Out

The best pictures I could get of his two blue stitches. It wasn't a long cut, but it was deep enough to need stitches.

We got Ollie's stitches out yesterday. I made an appointment at my doctor's office to have them out, cause I didn't know if I would have to wait forever in a line at a instacare. I also wasn't going to do them myself. They were too tight and small, and way too close to his eye for my comfort. Well at my doctor's office they have you see the nurse practitioner for "simple" things like stitches removal. I was not impressed with her at all. She was way late leaving us waiting 45 minutes just to see her. I watched her walk in to the office after we'd been waiting forever. I'm understanding when I'm apologized to, but not when I'm not and left waiting. Then they took us back to the room to wait twenty more minutes for a proceeder that took two seconds, and she had nobody else to see. They had Ollie just lay his head on Adam's shoulder and she used tweezers and little scissors.

I will never again volunteer to see her, but I am glad that we got them out. I made Adam come, cause I didn't know if they would strap him down again, and I didn't want to do that alone. Man I wish putting them in was as simple as the removal. Anyway, they are out and we are hoping we don't have to do that again soon.

Around the House

One of their new favorite things is to ride on Daddy's back around the house. Sometimes they call him an animal, but for the most part they are just content to get on.

Entertaining each other while I cook
Never fails, when the day is going bad, letting them help me make something like cookies always cheers them up. Ollie helped this time. He just got done rubbing his eyes and got chocolate all over his face. Pretty cute. He was happy to put Gabe's rolled dough on the pan. He was happy to have such a great job. Even though he preferred just eating chocolate chips rather than the actual cookies.

Parade of Homes Weekend

This previous weekend we went to the parade of homes that they have down here every year in St George. It was so very cool. I have heard that it hasn't been as cool as previous years with secret passages and serious toys in the houses because of the economy, but we really enjoyed it. Maybe it's because we don't own a house and anything looks better than what we live in now, but we were really entertained. Some houses were very cool. They were usually the million dollar homes. Heck if I spent a million dollars on a house, it had better be cool too.

Kami and Brandon came down, cause it's their tradition. It was also planned before we knew about our South Carolina trip, so they have kinda gotten an ear full with us this month. We love them though and will take any chance we get to hang with them. We all have a blast when they are around.

You pretty much just walk through the houses with plastic booties on or in your socks. There were 28 houses total. They have a map of where they all are and each house is numbered with a blueprint of the house. You can also see the price of it and if it's sold or not. We only had time for around ten of them, due to Adam working and naps for Ollie. I took some pictures of the cool/pretty things we liked about some. Lots of fun. The kids did pretty well, even though it's not what they would consider the greatest activity to be doing. Gabe was just content to hang with her cousins.

Most of the kitchens were beautiful. (if they weren't too contemporary)
This one house has a lot of concave spaces in different rooms. This was on a bathroom wall.
The kids liked the bath tubs, cause they were huge.

This yard was pretty, we loved the fire pit.
Our favorite theatre room that we saw.

These three windows were up high, and I love the iron work over them.
A lot had the hidden pantry that I've seen on Pinterest a lot. I love it.

Ollie resting on Daddy's head.

On Friday night we went swimming in their hotel pool to give the kids something fun to do after a day of touring houses. It was a bit chilly, so we spent most of the time in the hot tub.

Ollie and I never got in, but we enjoyed hanging out. Ollie loved splashing everyone.

A bunch of houses had this lava rock as landscape. It was actually very pretty.

This house had fire places EVERYWHERE. I think we counted 5 or 6 fire pits/fireplaces.
This office was in the master bedroom, it was a really cool set up.

If we would have been home instead of on trips, we would have tried to see more of the houses. It goes for two weeks, we just hit the last few days. We loved it and I would love to start going each year. We met quite a few people who traveled pretty far to come to it. Can't say I blame them, it's pretty cool.

SOUTH CAROLINA-FLYING OUT THURSDAY

I'm finally getting all of these up. Phew. I tried to put these in order so people could read them in order of the trip. It was a little tricky, but I think I got it to work. Hopefully it works out okay. There should be 7 posts total, so you might have to go back a few pages, cause they won't all fit on one. I think they are on three pages.

Adam and Gabe flew out for about a week to South Carolina to visit Eric and Sarah Grace. It was a Daddy-Daughter party. They all had a blast and Gabe keeps telling me how she just wants to play with Sarah Grace again. I don't think May can come soon enough for her to see her cousin again. I love that they all could have such a nice time, and create some good memories. Adam loves hanging with his brother, and doesn't get to enough. So here are some posts of the fun. I tried to post as many cute Sarah Grace pics as I could, since we don't see as many as we all would like now a days. I'm sure I left out a bunch of fun details. I'll make Adam read over and help me add some in later. Enjoy. :)

I had to teach Adam a few tricks on how to put Gabe's hair in a basic pony tail or bun before the trip.
This was us waving bye to Daddy and Gabe as Uncle Brandon took them to the airport very early Thursday morning.

Adam said the hardest part for Gabe was waiting in lines. She just wanted to get on the planes and fly. She just wanted to ride the train in the Atlanta airport. It's a good thing they didn't check baggage huh? Adam said she did great on the planes. She loved them. She didn't even act nervous. She didn't sleep at all though on any flights, which kicked her butt later in the trip, and surprised us both.

Once they landed at the airport the girls saw each other and squealed and ran toward one another and hugged. Adam said it looked like one of the slow motion scenes from a movie.

They stopped to get some food at a deli for dinner.

Hanging out at the house.

They had a few dance parties. The girls purposely put on matching pajamas for the occasion.

Gabe showed her some of the fun games on her phone.
Eric had to work that night, so Adam stayed with the girls. They slept together on the floor in sleeping bags. Gabe thought that was soooo cool.
