WEDNESDAY - DAY....FOUR

WARNING: It was a busy day, there are A LOT of pictures. :)

Dang I can't even remember what day we're on. They are all blending together, and I'm ready to be done. Wanna come home now? :) Last night after I got to talk to you, Ollie woke up with a death cry a few minutes later. I ran to the room, it was the scariest cry ever. I picked him up, and couldn't calm him down. He screamed and screamed, and would go limp then wiggle from side to side. It was so odd, almost like a tummy ache with the arching. I don't think that was it though. He had his eyes closed, and I couldn't get him to wake up. Took forever. Why does weird stuff always happen when you're gone? Finally got him calmed. It was like he was having a nightmare and I couldn't wake him up. I don't know. I didn't love it. He woke up TONS in the night crying for a minute, and would go back to sleep. Not the weird cry, just a normal one, but a lot more often than normal.
I was more anxious than ever, on top of my normal insomnia. So I had a VERY late night. Not fun, but not surprising. I think I got four hours. That seems to be the norm this week.

The kids both woke up around seven thirty. That never happens! It was really cold in the night, and I couldn't get Greta off your pillow. She must miss you. :) I'll make sure it's clean before you get home, no worries.

Speaking of the dog, would you like to see what she did to our chair last night? I just noticed it this morning when Gabe pointed it out to me. Last night she randomly got on the table when we were in the other room and ate the remains of our pizza that I didn't get a chance to clean up yet. Well I guess she scratched the crap out of one chair and part of the table trying to climb up. It's pretty narly. Plus today I get to deal with her being sick (from eating pizza) and wanting to go eat grass ALL DAY so she can puke it up. Bleh. I can't leave her out there and I can't sit there while she mows the lawn, so she kinda got to deal with it. Felt bad, but what can ya do?

We all ate breakfast together and then played for a while. I printed off these "puppet" strawberry shortcake characters. Then I let Gabe make them with me. She was in charge of glueing, and thought it was SOOO great.
I let her play while I cleaned. I did manage to get some cleaning done this morning, and it was nice that Ollie was so very happy to just wander and do his thing.
He was trying to copy us and make noise in it like a trumpet. It was funny. Hurray for being able to get things done! I put him down for his nap and did come laundry, then got myself ready for the day.

Candice texted and told me that her daughter was still asleep, which worked out good, cause Ollie was too. We almost rescheduled, cause she thought it might go into her Son's nap time, but her daughter woke and Ollie woke, and we planned to go. I didn't think we would go, so I didn't have much ready, so then I had to RUUSSHH. I hate scrambling. I made Gabe do everything like a race to get ready, and it worked pretty good. She thought it was fun, except her hair. When I was doing her hair she got mad at me cause I was brushing fast and Ollie kept pulling her hair. It was tricky. She goes, "Mom and Ollie listen to me. I just love you guys a little bit. I just love Daddy lots, but just you a little right now." Ha at that moment I wouldn't blame her either.
Wes was nice, but very shy and didn't want to play with her the whole time. It was tricky. I loved Candice, she was sweet and way easy to talk to. When we got home and I was giving the kids a bath when Gabe told me, "Mom, Wes didn't want to run or play with me, or talk to me. He wouldn't spoke to me in the carousel about bubbles." Ha. I guess he wasn't interested talking about bubbles? Either way, she gave it a good try. He was just thrown off by new people.
She loves to lay down now. Ollie got shot in the face at the splash pad and was over it all fast. So he sat and munched snacks on my lap since he didn't get a good lunch in all the rushing. After the park, I figured we might as well get our books from the library since we were right there. Yeah they wouldn't let me get them cause you weren't there, even though I had the card. She kept asking if I wanted a card. My reserved books expire before you get home. I was a little cranky and snapped at her. Poor lady, not her fault, but I was annoyed. So I guess you are the official book retriever. They won't let anyone else be under your account. I get it, I just don't love it.
I took a picture of this, just in case you were missing it. :) Gabe wanted to ride the elevator, but I had to explain Daddy wouldn't be up there working. We walking into the kids section and they were having story time, so we joined. Gabe loved it! The theme was flies, so all the books had flies in them. "The old woman who swallowed a fly", etc... it was cute I promise.

This was a hand puppet fly that flew around them and tickled them. Glad Gabe didn't scream her guts out. They danced and sang and read. So fun.
Ollie hung out like this until I had to remind Gabe to pull her cover-up dress down to be modest, and he saw me and wanted out. He was pretty good. He kept trying to eat the lid to my water bottle and at one point started choking on it. Freaked me and the lady next to me out. I didn't bring anything to entertain him, cause I wasn't planning on staying. The lady next to me gave me a ziplock of Luck Charms that she carries around for her kids. Man I love Utah. :) I was a little hesitant, but it was a life saver, and we got to stay and Gabe loved it. People are great here! Afterwards they gave us a "make your own fly" project to take home. So we did another craft project today later on in the day.

Didn't feel up to cooking, so we went here. I parked in the drive up slot not knowing what to do, cause they don't have speakers. I was about to go in when a girl finally came out. I wanted to try a new shake, but their menu is silly and doesn't list anything, so I got a Reeses again. Thought of you, and it was good. :)
Brought it home to have a "picnic" on the front lawn so Greta could wander around (and eat grass and puked) while we ate. Then I told them we could play with chalk when we were done.
Doesn't she look so old in this picture?
Ollie just wanted fries...

and the shake. Healthy I know, but it was easy. I needed easy today.
He walked some out here, and lost his shoe along the way obviously. He loved trying to color with the chalk. Once I convinced him not to put them in his mouth, he loved taking them in and out of the container.

Man she cracks me up-She told me to take these ones.

Can you see the writing? I had fun playing with my camera. Even though it didn't work.

Cute chalk bum

Ollie is walking more and more everywhere. So fun. Gabe wanted to help catch him walking, so we let him go back and forth. He would get to her and sit, so he would crawl really fast back to me so I could help him stand again. Then he would get the biggest cheese and walk to her and laugh. So cute.

Practicing her summersault. We make a big deal of Ollie crawling, so we try to make a big deal of Gabe learning to summersault. Speaking of BIG DEAL....

That's RIGHT! She finished her chart. Good thing I took a picture, cause afterwards we went potty for the last time and Ollie chucked it in the water. (Before she peed, but still) She was sad she couldn't show you. So I told her we could keep it and dry it. Gross I KNOW. Just don't touch it, when she shows you. ;)
She was so excited and kept telling me this meant she was a big girl and wouldn't pee in her panties anymore. Hope that lasts.
So of course we spent the rest of the night playing with it. It was fun. Ollie once again skipped a second nap, and went down well for bedtime. Gabe has been awesome and I already warned her tomorrow is a cleaning day. I told her she can play by herself a bunch, but I have to clean. SO we'll see how that goes. Your mom called and they might come earlier on Friday. She already offered to help me clean. Love that woman. I guess depending on what I can get done, we'll take her up on it. Here's a video of me trying to get O so day DADA:

I am done with you being gone. Starting to wear on me a little. Just come home now? :) Miss you babe. I'm exhausted so hopefully that means I can get some sleep. Love you.

TUESDAY - DAY THREE

Well this day started out earlier than I would have liked. Ollie was up at six, instead of closer to seven. He got his leg stuck in the bars AGAIN. Poor chubby legs. Once he gets them in, he can't it back out. What can ya do? It was a little tricky for me since I was up until two. Not by choice, I just couldn't sleep without you there and being alone. I HATE sleeping alone, it's the worse part when you're gone. :( I did stay up and read for a while, but definitely not until two. (even though for a GOOD book I'd do it) No good book, just no hubby.

Anyway, I offered to make Gabe a yummy breakfast, but she just wanted her cereal. Okay done and done. I then attempted some laundry, but with Ollie a little cranky, it was tricky.
Gabe attempting to "help fold" the laundry
She ended up moving it all to the floor to pretend it was a mountain she could climb.
Seriously who leaves dental floss in their pockets?....Yeah I know that one was me. I mean who doesn't love finding treasures when they fold laundry. Keeps it fun.

So when Ollie went back down, I did too. I was tired. It took me forever to get him down too. I was woken about 45 minutes later by Gabe SCREAMING her guts out. I ran into the front room and she was saying, "A BUG! A BUG!" A fly landed on her. Nap time over. I decided I'd work out. I only got about half an hour of the hour workout done due to Ollie waking up unusually early from a nap. Couldn't catch a break today. I guess half hours is better than nothing right? Especially when I get this little critter to work out next to:
Video of Gabe working out with me.
We played ponies today of course, and some cars with Ollie. I had Gabe watch Ollie while I speed showered. I heard, "No Buddy no buddy!" When I asked what was wrong, she told me he was trying to take her crown. :) Stinker.

For lunch we had some veggies and dip with our sandwiches. I had bought a bunch of cucumbers to eat in that dip, and you're gone. I'm trying to eat them all by myself now. I know, you're jealous. Gabe says they are gross, and Ollie can't eat them good. Oh well.
Gabe told me a story at lunch about us all running through the woods. Then you and her changed into monsters and tried to eat Ollie, me, and Greta. But she goes, "Mom I don't like monsters. Let's change back, right mom?" Once changed back we went to the zoo and danced with some barbies. Since you're missing out on lunch time story hour, I figured I'd share one of Gabe's from today. :)
When I was getting ready to run some errands, I look over at Ollie cause he's screaming, this is how I found him:
He actually climbed from the stool onto the toilet. I took him down and he climbed back onto the stool, all to try and get that dang candy. Determined little man. Not loving this new climbing fun he's discovered.
Gabe was the mom, I was the sister, and Ollie played himself. When I tried to tell Ollie something, she told me I couldn't, cause she was the mom and then repeated what I had told him.

loving your pillow.
The kids were stoked to be able to talk to you at lunch today. Really people we don't get to hear from him all day. He has no time to text or talk. When he is done for the day he has to accomplish a goal of mock surveys where he interviews people. These take a while. Then he has to study and has homework, before he goes to bed. Any text or short phone call we can get, we take. Hence, the reason for the daily posts. Gotta let him know all is well, cause we have no time to in the day.
Sorry he hung up on you like twelve times

We went grocery shopping today. I tried to convince Gabe that we wear headbands further up on our head, but she wasn't having it. She walked around like this. It usually was lower. :) Through the store I would pull it up, and she would pull it down. Too funny. My grocery shopping went about as well as it usually does by myself with both kids. Maybe cause Ollie was like this ALL DAY:
Ha. Everything that could go wrong, did. By the end of it we were all SOOO done. I bought me one of these:
cause I REALLY wanted one. :) Gabe whining and running around like crazy, Ollie screaming as the nice check stand lady is trying to chat with me. Really? It's nice and all, but just ring up the stuff so I can get out of here. Can you not hear the craziness? Bah!
Gabe let me know that it was your drink and that I shouldn't drink it. She's right but I let her know I wanted some too. She told me it was fine as long as I saved some for you. Sure babe, you can have the rest...four days later. :)

For dinner I gave Gabe her options, and she chose to help make pizza. She loaded it with cheese. You would have LOVED it. Ollie and I did. She was silly about eating it. I was surprised. I told her she could take five bites and she argued and argued. So finally I said, "Fine three." She agreed. She took one and it took forever for her to eat it. I then said, "Okay two more." She gets this crazy happy face and says, "Really mom? I only have two, not three? You're so nice mom." HA You betcha kiddo. ;)
I promise it was yummy despite the picture
OF COURSE after that tricky shopping trip I forgot dryer sheets and dishwasher soap. I kinda got get the laundry and dishes done. So after dinner it was back to a store. I figured if I went to target maybe the kids would be happy......
Or pout cause I wouldn't let them have toys. Ha. She actually was really good until the very end while checking out. I then put her in the cart for punishment and she gave me this. I couldn't stop laughing at her, which made her laugh eventually.

When we got home tonight Ollie decided that he would walk everywhere. By himself. He loved it, and it was fun to see. Maybe we'll have him officially walking by the time Daddy gets home? Either way it was quite the accomplishment for him.

Did I forget to mention I could never get Ollie down for his second nap. I love it when I spend a lot of the day trying. I just give up, he can't get any crankier right? Wrong, HE... WAS ...CRAZY! Poor guy, I don't know what his deal was. The nice thing was when bed time came around, he was SO ready. He has been fighting and fighting going to sleep for like a week. I used to be able to hold him and he'd snuggle me. Now he kicks and screams so I get to let him scream it out in his crib. Tonight however, I got this:
Mmm Hmm I'll take it. I love it when he just wants to cuddle. I finally layed him down after some good cuddle time and went out to play with Gabe. I found her like this:
Wow what an easy bedtime. I'm glad I had made her go potty and brush her teeth already. Since sleeping pictures are the best, and you have the two CUTEST kids in the WHOLE WORLD, I included these:

You're welcome. :)

Tomorrow I have a play date planned. Are you so proud of me or what? With Candice from our ward. We are going to the water splash park. If it turns out good, that means you get to attempt to be friends with her husband. Yep, you know the one. :) I also plan to walk somewhere with the dog. She needs it. We also need to plan a trip to the library to pick up some books, and I gotta clean our place from top to bottom. Sounds like fun eh?

You'd be proud I remembered tomorrow is garbage day. It's amazing the little things that I miss about you when you're gone. Like the fact that you never forget it's garbage day and you empty all my garbages for me and take it out. How silly, but how true. I love you for the little things babe.

Hope all is well on your side. We miss and love your face. I recorded a video of Gabe leaving you a message, but I can't get it to load. :( I guess that I might have to try again and make it shorter and put it on tomorrow's. Sorry love.
