Gabe's blessing

So most of you know this past weekend we took a trip to Utah. We got to see both of our families and spent some time with all of them. We had a blast. Camping and the beach with his, and games and out to eat with mine.  Gabe and Greta did well in our travels for the most part. Most importantly we got to bless Gabe with all of her family near. Thanks to everyone for the support! Her daddy gave her a beautiful blessing. We're happy everyone got to experience it with us. Here's some pics of that day.

Two months old!

So Gabe is two months old today. Oh how the time flies! We can't believe it. She already thinks she's such a big girl. She wants to continually be sitting upright. No more laying down the small little new born. She decided she isn't happy laying down in her bath either. She might miss something while getting rinsed. She wants to see everything, and if it's moving she is fascinated. She loves music, and especially her daddy's music. Funny thing is, nothing puts her to sleep faster. I think she heard too much of it while in the womb. Ha. Adam is so proud. She is starting to grab stuff put in front of her. She is smiling more and more each day. She's got her fake cry down. She's rounding out to be our cute little love bug. We love you bug, happy 2 months!

X- X-ray or Ultrasound? The x-rays I've had were not fun. The ultrasounds I've had were wonderful. We'll take option two please. Not anytime soon though.

Never a dull moment

So this is what goes on when I am home, I can't imagine what he does to entertain her when I'm gone. Even though he comes up with the silliest stuff, Gabe loves it just as much as he does. One minute I'm cooking dinner, the next running to get the camera, cause my daughter and husband are both loving smooshing their faces to the window. Huge smiles from both. Greta even gets in on the craziness, and jumps to hug her daddy.

So for those who didn't know, Adam has been training to do his first triathlon. It was supposed to happen this last weekend at Donner Lake. However, there are a bunch of fires in California right now, because of the smoke they cancelled his event. He not only signed up for it months ago, but has been training for it as well. :( He was totally bummed. They aren't rescheduling it, just crediting him for next year. He wanted to do a tahoe one next year, so we're kinda annoyed. ANYWAY, he and his friend decided to go up to Donner and do it anyway by themselves to prove that they could. They swam a 1/4 mile, biked 7 miles, and ran 3 miles. This one was his starter one, in many triathlons to come. The Tahoe one for next year is 1/2 m swim, 26 m bike ride, and 3 m run. Gabe, Greta, and I just wanted to tell him we think he's amazing for accomplishing his goal. We're so proud of our Triathlete!

We decided to snap a family shot in our sunday clothes the other day. It's been a bit since I've posted all four of us, so I figured I'd put it up.

July 4th weekend

July 4th weekend was a blast. We had my sister and her kids come to visit. They loved Gabe and loved playing with Greta. (when Greta wasn't trying to lick them to death) We watched fireworks, which I don't have any pictures of for some reason. It was fun none the less. Gabrielle got her first trip to the Lake. She was so good. She was content to hang in the shade and watch everything happening around her. The water was a little cold, but felt nice with the hot weather. Thanks for the visit guys! We had so much fun!

Being in a house is so much more fun than an apartment. We love going outside in the evenings and hanging out together. Here some shots of us enjoying our shady patio.

Gabe talks...more like squawks

Gabrielle loves to make all sorts of noises lately. She tells you stories, and makes all sorts of amusing noises. I put her under her toy the other day, and she kept me entertained for a while. She would stare straight at all the toys, then she would randomly squawk at them. Then she would stop. Hilarious. Here is a picture of her talking to her animals.
