I thought I was obsessed

Before new moon came out, I regularly got on newmoonmovie.org to see updates about anything twilight related. A little obsessive I know this, but it was entertaining none the less. (it's a good site if you haven't seen it) I am however glad that I'm not over the top like some people. I have this app on my iphone that posts stories people submit to this website. People pretty much write in about crappy/bad/funny things that happened to them, and they are normally hilarious. Here are a few I read that were either funny or just sad (but twilight related)......

-Today, I kissed my iced over window to know what kissing Edward Cullen would be like. My neighbor saw. My first reaction was to come up with a cover story. I licked the window and wiped my sleeve over it to look like I was cleaning it. My neighbor came over later and gave me an early Christmas gift. Windex. -

-Today I woke up and looked in the mirror and noticed that my face was covered in glitter. I asked my wife about it and she said she put it on me while I was sleeping so that I would sparkle like Edward from Twilight when I was in the sunlight. -

-Today I went to see the new Twilight movie, for the second time. The first time was at the midnight premiere. I would be "okay" with it if the person who dragged me to see both times hadn't been my boyfriend.-

-Today I realized that our generation will be remembered as the kids who liked sparkly vampires.-

-Today, my girlfriend dumped me proclaiming she wanted someone more like "Edward". I asked her who Edward was. She held up a copy of her Twilight book. She was talking about a fictional vampire-

Anyway I need to get some new picture posts up of our busy lives. I'll work on it as soon as I feel motivated to organize my pictures from 3 different cameras.

Good Times

We've had a busy fun week. To start out with Kassi came to visit us, and to see Gabe. We had a great time hanging out, eating sushi, shopping, playing games, and hanging with Gabe. Thanks for the visit Kass!

Playing street fighter on super nintendo with these two can get a little competitive as you can clearly see

We of course had to go see New moon when she was here. We bought tickets two months in advance. We then decided if we were going to go to a screaming theatre, we were gonna represent ourselves. That's right folks we went and bought us some shirts to wear. Silly we know, but it made it that much more fun to go see it. We also sported our Jacob and Edward tattoos I got in my with my new moon book when I bought it. I need to explain that I am a team edward person, except when it comes to this book. I still have a hard time reading it, cause he leaves her. (EVEN IF HE WAS "PLANNING TO COME BACK") So I have to support Jacob for this one, especially for being so good to her. Even when she drops him as soon as edward is back. Poor guy. Anyway we loaded up on trader joe munchies and enjoyed our movie very much. I did have to laugh at the young screaming girls, and at Alice's future vision of them together. You all know what I'm talking about. That part made me laugh even after it was over. Other than that part they did a really good job with it. I think the acting has improved a little too. It goes to show what different directors can do for a movie. If you haven't seen it yet, I recommend you do.

We did some shoppin at the legends, and some other places. Kass cuddled Gabe any chance she could. Gabe thought she was great. We took her to Tahoe to show her around even though it was freezing!

We celebrated Adam's 27th birthday this weekend as well. On saturday we went to eat with some friends. Thanks to all those who made it out, it was a little hectic getting in a busy place with kids. The next day we ate some ice cream pie at Adam's request once again, and opened some presents. Gabe enjoyed helping daddy unwrap his gifts.

I can't express how grateful we are for Adam. He is truly an amazing person to be around. He's always positive, and making us laugh. It makes our home a great place to be, and our family happy. HAPPY B-DAY BABE! we heart you!

18 months

Our Gabrielle is turning 18 months in a week. I know it's an early post, but we have a busy couple of weeks ahead of us and I wanted to get it posted. I can't believe she's as old as she is. (Well how old she almost is) I also can't believe she is going into nursery. A few months ago I was a little sad at the idea of her being old enough to be in there. Now I think Adam and I are both ready to stop juggling her through our meetings. She struggles a little bit with nursery. I think the older kids running around screaming freaks her out a bit when they all join in. :) So that should be an adventure. I told Adam we need to pray she adjusts fast, cause we both teach in December and it's not going to be easy to have her with either of us.

She is still all smiles all the time.....well most of the time. She is quite the stubborn child and it scares me just a little. She's quite the combo of sugar and spice. Battling with her can be a little exhausting at times. When she's happy though it's all laughter and sunshine. She is still constantly exploring. She loves outside as you are all aware, and can't figure out why I don't let her out all day long. (Battle # 1) She loves to sing, especially with you to any songs that have actions. She is still the dancing queen of our house. She now hates baths. (Battle #2) She is getting more picky as to what she wants to eat and when she wants to eat. (Battle #3) Her favorite things to eat right now are bagels, carrots, and grapes. She talks and jabbers and says more real words in her ramblings. She repeats everything and it's so fun to hear her associate a word or try to pronounce something. She likes to tell you that everything is hot. (she is learning that the stove, her food, the fireplace, and other things are a no touch zone) She'll run screaming at Greta, "NOOO hot! No touch!" If Greta gets too close to a fire in the fireplace. She's kinda bossy and when you play it's how she wants things to happen. Her imagination is already flourishing. She would spend ALL DAY reading if you were willing to read to her. She then likes to read them to you. We spend a lot of time with our faces in books. I love it. She knows where all of her body parts are, and is working on shapes. Her favorite animal noise is probably the dog. If you ask her an animal she doesn't know she tell you Ruff. I love her cat noise, cause it's so high pitched. She loves to run and try to jump, and is still obsessed with bikes. She loves sesame street and while eating a cookie the other day impersonated cookie monster by saying, "mmm cookie." in a gruff voice. She loves tinker bell and freaks out anytime she sees anything tinker bell related. She's really into coloring right now as well. She is slowly adjusting to her new time change schedule and does pretty good most days. She brings us so much joy everyday. We feel so blessed to have her. We love you bug, boogs, beaners!

Here is our attempt at some 18 month pictures this weekend. Getting a toddler to smile and hold still for a camera isn't always the easiest thing. :)

At least we're doing something right....

We started working with Gabe to fold her arms when saying prayers a while back. At first she thought it was this fun thing to do for a few seconds, and was done. She has come such a long way. She then started folding them longer. She then grasped the concept of bowing her head, and she now closes her eyes. She doesn't have the Amen part down yet. It's amazing to see her learning this is what we do at meals, and at night time, and as a family. Now before she starts eating she looks at us folding her arms waiting for a prayer. What a sweet reminder from a toddler that we need to be praying. Just this last week she has started to say her own prayers. I'll look over at her and she'll stop eating fold her arms, close her eyes, and mumble all sorts of random things. I'll ask her, "Are you saying a prayer?" She'll nod yes and smile. It honestly makes my heart melt. She may not grasp exactly what we're doing it for yet, but she knows that it's what we should be doing. What a sweet thing to have in our home. As parents it makes you thankful to know that something is coming across to her how it's supposed to. :) So even though we are still working at a way to teach family home evening and scripture study, at least we are getting our prayers said. Thanks for your example my sweet Gabrielle!

Finish this sentence....

Maybe I should...be in bed, since I wake up at 5 a.m.

I love...my snoring husband sleeping next to me, the snoring dog sleeping next to him, and my sleeping child in the other room.

People would say that I'm... __________ (reserved, sarcastic, a worry wort, nice?, opinionated, stubborn, punctual, loving, etc. )....yeah you can fill in the blank-I'm not the "people" I'm not sure what they say

I don't understand...people who let their kids go to things when they are sick, and therefor get everyone else sick.... Physics.... which way to turn your clock when daylight savings rolls around... and why people don't have the desire to put up Christmas lights.

When I wake up in the morning...I listen hoping Gabe will fall back to sleep....BAHAHA

I lost...my keys forever ago and never found them. I really can't figure out where in my home they wandered off to.

Life is full of... tough choices, isn't it? (Name the disney movie)

My past is... not something i reflect on often honestly

I get annoyed when... my toe nails aren't painted

Parties are...something I attend around the holidays

I wish...I was better at taking pictures (not that I don't take them often enough-in a photography sense)-and had the time and money to learn how to better.

Dogs...are great.

Cats...are great too for some people.

Tomorrow... .is Wednesday and I have my "to do" list already started

I always forget... EVERYTHING! HA! I have to write everything down a few times.

If I had a million dollars... I'd be a home owner

I'm totally terrified...of the geese at the park come to find out.

YOU GUYS ARE WELCOME TO DO THIS IF YOU'D LIKE

HALLOWEEN WEEKEND....

We had a friend's Halloween party the weekend before Halloween, so we all dressed up to participate. We had a lot of fun and Gabe was fascinated by the haunted house they made in their garage.

On friday night we had our first official family movie night. We got the new Tinker Bell movie, some munchies, and all cuddled to watch. Gabe loves that show. It's one of the only cartoons she likes. It's a cute show for those of you who haven't seen it. (we recommend)

Saturday morning we went to find some leaves to look at. Kinda late in the year to view leaves, but we were successful. Gabrielle really enjoyed hanging out with Adam. Gabe gracefully fell into the corner of our TV stand to get her beautiful shiner a few days before. That would be her second one also having had two bloody noses, a split lip, and numerous goose eggs. She's a little top heavy, not very graceful, and quite the adventurer. I'm just glad I got pictures in her costume before the shiner. Maybe the beat up look was a post rescue from the wolf's belly look?

We decided to take Gabe trick or treating on our street Halloween night. The weather was perfect! It was warm enough to not have to bundle up when we went. We did go at 6:30 though. As soon as the first house handed her a peice of candy, she wanted to hold it, and drop her basket. We had to convince her to keep going. She then would try and hand people back their candy into their bowls. Once she grasped the concept of free candy, she then tried to take more candy out of everyone's bowls. She never got trick or treat down very well, but she did tell everyone thanks, and ba bye. Everyone ooohed and ahhhed over her. Since our street is an off street (not too busy-we got about 10 groups of kids at our house) people gave her a lot more candy then she needed.

When we were home we ate some warm soup and answered the door. Gabe and Greta both kept watch at the window.

I can't believe it's already November! When you upload pics to blogger lately it does a code instead of showing a picture. Is that happening to anyone else?

Oh Daylight Savings

Okay can I just say I hate FALL daylight savings. I'm not fond of the whole promise to "gain" an hour. Really once my child is adjusted to the time change, I loose an hour. I worked really hard to move my early to bed/early to rise child's schedule back so I could sleep in until 6 to 7 in the morning. (that's with her going to bed at 8) Now with a time change I get to once again get up between 5-6 in the morning. I am not excited about this. So now I get to work hard again to move her whole schedule back again so I can get that one precious hour back. Make sense? :) Some of you might be thinking it's not a big deal, just keep your child awake until she's adjusted. I wish it were that easy. Keeping Gabe awake when she needs to be asleep is kinda a nightmare, and not very fun. I recently transitioned her to one nap a day and it was hard enough putting it where it is. For her nap when she's tired, she starts laying down everywhere and asking to get in her crib. Ha. That's right, she tries to put herself to sleep for her nap somedays. So now I will try to keep her up until the new 8p.m. (I don't want her bedtime any later) which to her is gonna feel like 9 for a while. It will be a little tricky. ANYWAY thanks for letting me ramble and vent once again this year. I feel a little better *as I'm yawning* ;) Thanks for listening.

P.S. I'll get my Halloween weekend post up as soon as I can get my pictures off my camera, uploaded, and organized.
