We are trying to train our boys that Valentines Day is important to the women in their lives and they need to show them that they loves them. We've done it for a few years now where the boys go with Daddy to pick out stuff for us. I love it cause Ollie already knows what he wants to get us. He got me tulips, cause he knows they are my favorite. We told Daddy so. And he got Gabe purple, cause it's her favorite color. He made sure to get me hot tamales cause he knew they'd make me happy. Then they delivered them to us. So grateful for these sweet boys that will hopefully spoil the women they love always.
Some V-day fun with prizes in their envelopes.
Dr Suess week at the kids school make for some fun times. This was mix-match day.
This was talent day. Dress like a talent you have. It happened to be the day of their Daydreams and Dandelions award ceremony. It's an art contest. Gabe submitted a few pieces, but won first for her collage she made. Her day couldn't get any better. We got to go to the assembly, unbeknownst to her, and surprise and see her get her award.
This was her collage she won 1st place for.
This was their "nerd day"
Crazy hair day
We had spring Break in March, and just kept it simple doing fun things around town with the kiddos. Parks, eating out, and Feista fun for some arcade games.
Adam is in Rotary Club, and they host the car show ever Easter Weekend. His assignment is to put up sings for it a few weeks before. We went with him to help. He had to hammer in these metal poles, with his big heavy metal tool. (Can you tell I don't know the names of anything). Well, when trying to hit the pole onto rocks, the heavy tool, which he has to raise above his head came down weird and slammed the top of his head. He was lucky he didn't pass out and that he wasn't alone. There was a lot of blood being a head wound. He had to get a few stitches. Nothing crazy but since it was a few days before our trip I was a stressed mess over it. He and Ollie like to compete each year as to who can go to the instcare more. We're pros at is around here. The kids just watched a show on the iPad until we found out it take a while, then we went home and a friend came and got him so they could go to bed.
St Patty's day. Milo has a very fun creative teacher. He loved the bow tie they made and his little hat.
Gabe always has to one up what we did last year. She loves this holiday and gets so mad she doesn't catch stuff. She kept trying to convince us we needed to hang traps from the ceiling. We talked her out of it, but next year cause this one didn't work, not sure we can get out of it. So this year we used our trap where he climbs the ladder, falls into the trap on top trying to get the glittery things, then the basket falls. She also made us tape the box to the floor so that he couldn't climb out from under it. He still got away she was upset. :/
And he made a mess of our house
Showing off the green. Obviously we didn't wear all of it, but for pictures it was fun. I took Gabe to school and ran errands with the boys. Ollie kept trying to pinch every stranger we came across. He was mad at me that I wouldn't let him.
