Tuesday we went on a tour with the EJ people to Windsor Castle. It's where the Queen actually lives, so it made it even cooler. The drive out there was beautiful, even though I fell asleep for part of it. It was so relaxing and nice.
This is the lane up to the castle that only the Queen (or family) can take.
There's so much history to it.
The moat has never been used. They never needed to. So now it's the lush gardens around the castle.
This is the door she enters in when she comes home. This part is her private area. The rest you can tour. You can't take pictures. It was kinda amazing. Everything was a bit ornate, and I wouldn't want to live there, but it was super neat to see. We snuck a few pictures of the inside.
This part is the inside of the St George Chapel that is on site. It was beautiful.
I kinda was surprised there weren't more guards around the castle. I swear this one was just there for show at the end of the tour.
Kay told us there is this chain Chinese food place called Walamamas that we needed to try. It was good, too bad it made Adam sick the rest of the week. Around the castle there are tons of shopping and restaurants.
When we got back we rested and got ready for the "Theme Dinner" Ej puts on in the middle of the week. They tour the city a bit then take us over to the river Thames. We went on a river boat dinner tour. I was in love with all the buildings. Even the old country ones.
This is the picture of the boat we went on.
Some night time picture views from the river.
They had a Beatles rock band play after dinner and we did some dancing. It was a lot of fun.
We got back to dessert from Ej. They did this two nights. One night they gave champagne. We skipped that one.
