We love our Ollie boy. His energy keeps us on our toes, and he just makes us happy. He has the best laugh and smile. If I could spend the day doing anything with him, it'd be cuddling him and listening to him tell me stories. He loves to just talk and talk now a days. It's the best. He has always and will always be the best cuddler. He just loves to be by you, on you, and cuddling you. He is just so lovable.
He is the hardest worker. He LOVES to work, and he won't take no for an answer. He will help you with something whether you think it's a good idea or not.
He looks up to Gabe and his Daddy. They are both his heroes. He wants to follow them, be like them, and just hang with them.
He loves to learn. He tells me that he wants to read too, and he wants to really bad cause Gabe does. He loves play doh, and coloring, and painting. He still loves cars of course, playing cards, and playing pretend with Gabe. He loves playing with tractors, trains, and anything with wheels. His new found love is pirates though. He loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates.
He has one speed, and one voice level which is loud.
He doesn't love meat. Chicken, ham, steak, fish, eggs, etc. He's kinda a natural vegetarian. :) He's been that way for a while, he just battles us on it. We have to hide his chicken in with other things to get him to eat it. He doesn't love sweets. He doesn't like anything chocolate, anything covered in frosting, pretty much most of anything sweet. He does like most candy, and ice cream and cookies if they don't have chocolate. Most other foods we can get him to eat. So I guess the veggies and fruit is a nice thing not to have to battle on. Although it's super hard to get him to try something new. I look forward to the day when he tells me he loves my cooking and scarfs up everything in sight. Although if he continues to be picky I might not get that.
He has the best manners. Thank you is what he's the best at rembering to say. I love that about him.
He is such a good brother helping Milo. We have to teach him to watch out for him when he's playing cause Ollie gets going and accidently knocks Milo over a lot. He's getting better. He always tries to say sorry and help him up, even though by that point Milo is fiesty and doesn't want to be touched. :)
He's kinda baby obsessed and wants to help do everything to help with them. (He likes to help when we watch Callen) He tells me babies are so cute with little toes, little heads, and little jammies. :)
He's at the stage where most everything that comes from his mouth cracks us up. He makes us laugh with things he says or does. Here are some funny Ollie-isms:
* "Mom I want to play with all of body."(everybody)
*M:Ollie you look so handsome in Green.
O: And in red. (He wasn't wearing red but he wanted to let me know.)
*We were playing Simon Says one night and he was getting frustrated nobody was getting out. So he goes, "Simon says you're out."
*"Dad I love you when you have pickles and carrots."
*He got dressed in a Polo shirt one morning and told me, "I'm wearing a Daddy shirt today."
*O: I don't want to play that game.
Me: We aren't going to play that game.
O: What game?
*Me: Do you know a good game we can play for FHE?
O: How about cars?
*The kids were being crazy one Sunday morning and Adam goes, "Kids fighting, crying, whining, and making messes, what's next?"
Ollie goes, " We go to church!"
*He was playing doctor with Gabe one day.
When Gabe was the patient she goes, "I have a problem, this hurts."
When Ollie was the patient he goes, " I have a problem, I feel better."
*Me: What should we have for dinner?
O: Popcorn!
Me: No
O: Cereal?
* "This is what Pirates do Mommy......" He tells me that before he does anything. This is how pirates drive their cars, this is how pirates brush their teeth, etc. It's cute.
* Me: "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
O: "A Missionary!"
*One night in his prayers he blessed that Jesus would drive safe
*"Mom the Holy Ghost went back to his house."
*At FHE one night Adam goes, "Ok let's talk about something really special."
Ollie goes," My pirate toothpaste Daddy."
We bought him pirate toothpaste and told him it was special for him, and he thinks it's the best thing ever. Every time we brush his teeth he tells us how special his pirate toothpaste is.
*At FHE he was being crazy so we put a pillow on the floor and told him to sit his butt on the pillow and don't move it from the pillow. So later he stands up holding the pillow to his bum and gets up and moves around the room. Not trying to be naughty, just thinking logically.
*D: Who goes on the top of the temple?
O:Me!
D: Is your name Moroni?
O: Nope, Ollie.
*He always tells me, "Mommy I love you."
It melts me every time. He just randomly will tell me throughout the day. I love having more one on one with him.
*He pretends that everything that he is holding is a rocket ship and flies it everywhere.
*Being three years old has brought some pretty intense tantrums from this little man. Honestly, compared to how he was at a younger age and not communicating as well, these ones are crazy, but nothing we can't get past. Three year old temper tantrums are hectic, they just come with the age. The only thing that makes it hard is his stubbornness. So not saying they are a walk in the park, but most days he's a super good boy. We just learn how to work around them in a different way with our persistent little man. We always have to try to piece the puzzle pieces of life differently with him. Usually if all else fails we just hug him. He is a cuddled and talks about things better when feeling loved.
*He loves to tease. Persistently. It is such a brother thing. He gets told, "Ollie don't be a pest/tease." It's all very amusing to him. The bigger reaction he gets from you, the more he loves it. Little turkey.
He has been waiting to turn three forever. He kept feeling like everyone got a birthday but him. He wanted it to be his turn. It was hard to understand. His finally came and we made it fun and special for him. Even though he was ready to be older, I'm not quite ready to feel like my boys are growing up too fast too. Like I said, I'd rather sit on the couch and cuddle my Bubs/Ollie than see him get big. But such is life, so here's to Ollie turning 3! He is the best, cutest, awesomest 3 year old we know. Love our Ollie boy.
