Dr. Suess Week

Gabe had a Dr. Suess week at her school this last week. It was really cute and each day had a cute themed thing. Monday was hat day. You could purchase these tall "Cat in the Hat" hats from the school for a few bucks. They had all sorts of colors. She kinda got stuck with these colors, they weren't her first choice, but she still loved it anyway.

She had a crazy hair day. She thought this one was especially silly. Some kids came with fake insects in their hair, and others colored their hair. She was so thrilled to see and talk about this day. We just made her hair stick up all over. She loved it, so that's all that matters.

The had a silly sock day. Yes those are shorts she is wearing. Nice to be warm enough to get away with that for a day so people can view her socks better. We actually put leg warms on as kinda a pretend sock to make it look sillier.

The boys made me laugh. As soon as I said I was taking a picture they both jumped in so they could get in with her. So here are her supportive brothers. :0)

The other two days were red and blue day. She actually wore a very red shirt with very light blue leggings. Her idea and she was proud so we went with it.

The last day which I never got pictures of was pajama day. Just cause it's fun to do, not sure how it's Dr. Suess related. She begged to wear her footsie pajamas, but we didn't think her feet would be comfy in shoes with those all day. So we luckily had some summer pajamas that still fit her that were a shirt and pants.

They also were encouraged to read 20 minutes a day for the whole month. (Which we do anyways for homework)
If they do they get some kind of picture taken with Dr Suess stuff or something. Gabe wants to make sure she does it so that's nice. So the whole week we read the Dr Suess books we own. It added to the fun of the week.

Fun week fun times. :)
