So for those of you who aren't aware, Reno puts on some pretty fun stuff throughout the summer/fall time. One of them happens to be the The Best of the West Rib Cook Off in Sparks on Labor day weekend. All of these vendors come from all over the nation to prove that their ribs are the best. How do you find out which one is the best you may ask.....try them of course! Well trying them ALL could get a little pricey. There are like twenty five different vendors. You can smell the BBQUE from blocks away. It's simply beautiful. HA. We decided to go as a group and all make a purchase buying full racks from different places and splitting them. It's hard to choose which ones to try. They all have their awards posted, and trophies displayed. They all claim to be the best. We ended up trying three different places. The first one was a bunch of Aussies, the second from Chicago, and the third was a local place called Famous Dave's. The Chicago place had the best meat by far in my opinion, and Famous Dave's sauce had Adam sold. It was a great time. There are tons of stands with other food and trinkets to buy. Overall it's just fun to walk around. You can buy V.I.P. tickets and get all you can eat of all the vendors. They are pricey, but we're determined to do it one of these years. Anyone takers? Here are some pics that Adam took with his phone to show the festivities..............

Yum yum! That made my mouth water, I love ribs and that would have been so hard to decide which vendor to pick. I would have had to just buy all of them. (well Mike would have) That sounds like fun.
Rob is so jealous!
Dad and I plan to be there next year so start saving your pennies since the VIP is the only way to go for my rib hungry man!
