Daddy's B-day

Adam b-day wasn't quite what I had planned. He took the day off, and I was going to send him to St G to go mtn bike this trail he's been wanting to do, but hasn't had time. BUT it rained all week. So that bombed, so did plan B of golfing. SOOOO we had to improvise a bit.
I meant to have him sleep in, but he wanted to go with Gabe to Daddy and Donuts at her school. Then he bought her a book at her book fair.
After spoiling him last year for his big 30, it was hard to downgrade and go back to normal. So I did it, and it made me feel lame. Oh well, he still got some fun stuff he wanted and needed.
While Gabe was at school we munched some oreos.
When she got home we opened gifts.
So we decided to go bowl, cause it was a fun indoor thing. We have never taken our kids, so it really was fun. The only bad thing is it was during the day with stuffy old people in leagues, but oh well. We had fun.
Milo just wanted to carry the balls, it wasn't the funnest.
Ollie would jump and shout or do dances when he did good, it was cute.
Gabe would throw her fist in the air and say, "Yes!"
After we played the arcade that were there.
Kay watched the kids and we got to go out to dinner. It was fun, we went to one of those places that has a Hibachi dinner where they cook the food in front of us and do a show. He flipped some shrimp at us and Adam caught his. I missed my first one, but caught my second. I meant to take a pic of us, but I didn't. :(
After we let the kids stay up to have Adam's ice cream pie. I tried talking him into cake this year, cause he does love cake, but he wouldn't have it. Ice cream pie it was.
So Adam's Crohn's has been acting up the last six months or so. He's super sensitive to foods now. It's not fun, so he has tried different meds again. The doc said this is one of the normal Crohn's symptoms that Adam's finally having. We were lucky his b-day he felt pretty good, cause he was puking with pains the night before. The doc finally today put him on a permanent medicine he gets to take forever that should help. Blah! He has to take 8 pills a day right now. Adam says, "I feel like I'm 80 taking so many pills!" Not ideal but it will help him be back to normal, so that's good.

Too bad about e rain, but I'm glad you guys had fun all the same. I've never been to a hibachi place. Always wanted to. One of my friends in AZ has crohns, I think she's had a lot worse symptoms than Ad. She even had to have surgery. So it could be worse!
Glad it was a fun bday.

Glad you all had such fun on Adam's birthday. I hope the meds really help this time. He's been blessed to have such a long time before hitting the Crohns wall. I hope he can get it settled again.
