Christmas was tricky this year. Everything about it. New calling was bad timing and I was kinda a slacker mom compared to my normal holiday cheer. I just kinda needed it to be over with. Too much crazy. Even when I tried to "take days off" from Primary stuff, stuff still came up. Guess I don't get to choose when I will do my calling. I have now managed to schedule it out more, now that's it's chilled out. ANYWAY, we still did manage to have SUCH a nice holiday with such a nice break. Love having my kids at home hanging out with me. Some moms don't love it, but I do and I'm sad when they go back. I count down to summer. Here are some pics from the day and a few from our winter break.
We have a 3 gifts rule. Jesus got 3, they get 3, so it's not too nuts. They get plenty from other people that it ends up good. For now it works out for us. We did have to juggle the size of things and making that seem even, but everyone was happy in the end.
We spent a lot our holiday break building legos that took days to build.
We did a lot of playing with new toys, cuddling, watching shows, etc. Very relaxed and really what we all needed.
Gabe did go with some friends to the kids museum where they had Grinch stuff set up.

Yay for Christmas! I love the 3 present rule. I kind of did the same this year. But thats a great way to think of it and to remember. Your Christmas break looks like ours. And (so far) I love having A home on break too, and miss her when she goes.
