We decided that our kids can have parties every other year, and we wanted them to be on the even years. Those are the big years that they'll want to hang with friends. On the odd years, we'll still party as a family. Maybe start another kind of tradition. Who knows. All our kids even birthdays will all fall on the same year so we'll have a year of parties, then a break the next year.
So it was kinda a pain having one the weekend we were going to move, and a little nuts, but we did it anyway for her. Anyway, she decided she wanted a Frozen birthday, and frozen toy presents. She's already been to one Frozen party, and knows of others who are doing them. It's kinda a big deal right now. So we tried to do some different games.
Finding the Frozen toys in stores or online is nuts. Everything is gone and not being restocked until fall, meaning what else is remaining is going for 3 times the normal price. Ridiculous!!! They've done news articles on it cause it's pure chaos. I guess they had four months of frozen inventory gone in a month, the movie was that big. We actually got lucky and found some stuff for decent prices, but had to hold off on some. Even the decor themed stuff is going up in price. CRAZY!

| Waking up for her big day! |
The day of her b-day we went to her school to meet her new teachers for next year. She has two, one English, and her Chinese speaking teacher. She has Mrs Varga for English and Mrs Christensen for Chinese. She's in Briana's class again, which we are happy about so it's nice. Ollie got to hang out with me and Milo and play with blocks while she went to meet them.
These two were so ready to party, even way before it was supposed to start. We made Elsa crowns for the girls and Sven antlers for the boys. I also made Gabe this fun Pinterest inspired Elsa cape she got to wear, and has worn every day since. I have to fix it, but that's it.
Some of our decor- nice we have a lot of Christmas decor that we could use.
We made cupcakes look like a snowflake. I was one snowflake topper short, so don't mind that.
She was so funny. She wanted strawberry cupcakes with the blue frosting and sprinkles and snowflakes.
We tried to keep the whole thing super simple cause we were moving. We played Frozen bingo. Thanks Etsy! We used mini marshmallows for game pieces, and they won blue candy if they won. I could only find this shimmery card stock at Walmart to print them on and it actually made them turn out super nice!
We threw snowballs at the ice palace to knock it over. My snowballs we sock snowballs from our Christmas box we use to have indoor snowball fights in December. We ended with a snowball fight at her party as well.
I didn't get a great pic of her blowing out her candles. Oh well.
We played pass the frozen ice ball. They surprisingly loved this. Kinda like a hot potato game, to music. If the frozen music stopped and you were holding it, you were out.

Tamera swung by with gifts after the party. She noticed and we had talked about how Gabe has no boy Barbies. So she got her two boys. Gabe was a tad confused but her brothers thought they were cool. As soon as Gabe realized her Barbie could dance with a boy and kiss and get married she loved them. :)0
Gabe loves Chinese food, especially buffet style. She loves being able to choose whatever she wants. It's her new favorite thing- eating at restaurants buffet style. She wanted it for her b-day. It's cute. So we went out to dinner at Ichiban's sushi buffet. She liked sushi too. We have an Asian buffet in Hurricane, but it's not as good, so we talked her into this one and she loved it.
Ollie was super picky that night. He wouldn't eat any of it, when usually he likes it. So we got him some French fries. He wouldn't eat those either. Gabe told him, "You haven't even tried these kind of fries. They're Chinese fries, maybe you'll like them." :)
Soft serve ice cream is one of her favorite parts to end the meal at most buffet places, so we got some. It was a crazy busy day, but so nice to see her so happy. Thanks to all who made it great!
