Our New Home

So we've been looking into house stuff for a while and we finally found one that we want to invest in for the next phase of our lives. We have rented enough, almost ten years of it, we are ready. We started out at the beginning of the year researching loans and house qualifications, payments, etc. We realized it was something we could do. We spent most of March looking, and we found this.

We don't really have a part of town yet that we want to end up permanently. We do know we want to end up on the South side of town someday, but not sure where. Right now we don't want to pay that much for a house on the South side. We got qualified for more than this house is worth, but we want smaller payments right now. The South side has expensive houses and super cheap small ones/old ones. There isn't much up for grabs that are in between. SO we ventured to the North part of town in some of the newer developments by Walmart. We found this house we love. It's not our dream house, and we don't plan on being in it forever, but we LOVE it! We are super excited what it offers and what we can do with it as well. I think after 8 moves, we deserve to stay a while. Who knows maybe we'll end up loving the North side as much as the South side of town?

 It is closer to Adam's work. We are going to have to take kids to and from school each day. Gabe is in the Chinese program so she and any younger siblings will still go to Three Falls Elementary. We want this, cause we like that school. It's not ideal to have to take them, but most moms actually do it anyway, so will I. Once all of our house stuff settled, we got another car to make it happen. We were gonna wait till August as planned for another car but realized we'd need one sooner and found one we liked, so we got it. We got a 2006 Honda Pilot. BUT that's another story for another time. 

Anyway, here are some pics of our place. 

There was constant stuff happening in getting this. All mostly stressful. The seller ended up renting it from us for a week after we closed. She was trying to get her stuff done to move into a condo somewhere. She had to close with us before she could close her new loan. She was super stressed so we were nice. Although it was hard to do. We were ready to move. 

Here's some house stats: It's 2,030 sq feet with a lot size of .25 acres. It has 5 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms. Two bedrooms and a bathroom are upstairs. The Master and two small bedrooms and a full bath are downstairs. It was built the end of 2012 and the people have only lived in it for like 10 months or so. They are getting a divorce so she was selling it. She didn't need it for just her.

Kitchen and we do now have a kitchen table there. These are her pics. Our stuff is still all over and in boxes. It'll also be a while before we buy nice decor indoor stuff. Our first priority is to finish our fence. So... Maybe this time next year I'll get to play more.

 Gabe and Ollie will have their own rooms upstairs. Milo will be downstairs for a bit, and when he gets bigger he'll go share with Ollie upstairs. We are finding these rooms so much more roomier than they appear. Maybe cause our kids have had such tiny room in the past. Our kids love them. They have these mini walk in closets I'm loving. They do get a lot warmer but my kids don't care. Yet anyways.

Being here actually will put us in Kay's (Adam's secretary) ward with her husband Terry as the bishop. That might take some getting used to. Tamera (the fill in secretary), although inactive is also in our ward. We aren't excited to have to start all over with the boys in a new ward, but oh well. Kay is the primary chorister so that's helpful. We hear this ward offers more little boys, so that'll be nice for Ollie. We only went to sacrament the first week and missed last week for Carson's blessing up north. So we haven't met many people. We did meet our only next door neighbors. (We have a field on the other side of us) Not members, an older couple. Nice. We did have one older neighbor down the street bring us a plate of cookies. She and her husband are empty nesters. There are younger people  on the street but we haven't met any yet. 

So far the experience has been super stressful, but super fun/exciting as well. We are happy. We are loving most everything. Really our only complaint is the narrow master bath, but it might not seem so much if I didn't have three kids under me every time I go in. ;)
