It's been too long since we got to take a vacation with just our little family. I wish we could go to San Diego, and we'd like to make that a tradition, but it's not gonna happen right now. We had just had more than a month of every weekend entertaining family at our house, and the stress of a house purchase, so we just took the time to de-stress as our little family. It was nice and very needed. So since we were planning on going up for Carson's blessing, we decided to spend the day as a family on a mini Vay-cay. It was super fast, cause Adam had meetings in Vegas all Friday. So we drove up late Friday night after he got home, and ended up last minute grabbing a hotel in Draper. We got up in the morning and headed to the zoo. It was fun to see the kids excited.
We rode the train ride that they have there-it was one of Ollie's favorite parts.
We get to ride a carousel often, but not one with cool zoo animals. Milo was very upset we didn't continue to do this all day, he loved it.
We were watching the Lions and this one started coming over to us, we thought it was cool.
Then it had a stare down with Ollie. Ollie didn't flinch, he thought it was cool. The little girl next to him was crying. Gabe was a little nervous, but Ollie just watched. He says it was one of his favorite parts.
This Gorilla was my kid's other favorite thing. It kept picking his nose and eating it, so they thought it was hilarious.
Not a surprise Milo was fleeing the nest, that's how he is here. :)
They have this new Polar Bear to see, and we didn't get to see it. It was away sleeping. Although the seal exhibit right by it was soooooo cool to watch. It was my favorite.
We brought munchies to the zoo, but we had to get Adam some Pie pizza for lunch after.
We then checked into our hotel in Park City and went swimming. We wanted to stay up in Park City, cause we didn't want to stress getting the kids ready and a longer drive to church, so we stayed close. The kids all loved the pool and the hot tub. It was refreshing, cause last year both of the boys weren't big fans of the pool. Much more fun. After the pool we got some dinner and Gabe and I hit the outlets for a few stores, while Adam and the boys played at the park there.
Hanging out at Laurel's house after the blessing. It was nice to see everyone, even though we couldn't stay long. We had another hour added onto the drive being up there, so we didn't stay too long. I tried to get a pic of all the cousins, but the only ones I could get to sit for it was Gabe and Carter. :) Levi and Milo were too busy and Ollie wouldn't have it. Oh well, maybe next time.

The zoo looks totally different from the last time I saw it. I think I should plan a trip with a stop at my favorite stores and restaurant along the way!
Im so excited to take Levi to the zoo. I hope he loves it even tho there are no trucks or cars involved. looks like so much fun! Thanks a million for making the drive up. You guys are awesome!
