When we got home from our Thanksgiving trip she got worse. A LOT worse. She has had constant boogers coming from her nose, and she was always exhausted cause she couldn't breath through her nose. Well, she then started having blood instead of boogers and she looked really bad and was acting really weird. SO we worked some things out to go into more debt to get her some help. They took x-rays, and found that she had a fungus in her nose and a serious infection. The fungus the doctor had only seen twice in his career, Greta being the second. We were just grateful it wasn't a tumor. So she got stronger antibiotics and a fungus medicine that made her very sick. She stopped eating for a week and we could hardly get anything down her, even when we stopped the fungus meds.
We finally got her to eat, and lowered the dosage on the fungus meds to once a day. So her evenings she's a little queesy and sad, but she's eating and doing better and fattening up a tad. Dealing with her puking and not eating, and shaking blood all over our house constantly has been challenging, and not fun. Poor thing. We pray she's n the up swing. If the meds don't work, we have no other options. We can't afford a specialist in Vegas, so I guess we'll see. Gabe prays every day her dog will be better, it's really sweet. Can't blame her, we all love this critter
Life with Greta is always an adventure. She's always ready to play or to cuddle you. She is such a cuddler. She also loves to lay on our clothes, blankets, pillows, or anything else that finds it's way to the floor. She tries to sleep on Gabe's dress up clothes, stuffed animals, or anything else that is comfy. As soon as "Daddy" gets home she's ready to play, and he still makes sure she gets to go outside and run around a bit. She loves to follow the kids around wherever they wander to. She loves it when Gabe plays with her, and lets Ollie climb all over her all the time. She loves the outdoors, hiking, biking, or just running around. She's so good with other dogs. She'll play with anything that is willing. She still thinks she's a lap dog, and obnoxiously attempts to lick anyone's face that comes over. She is such a kind, caring, patient creature. We love you Greta girl and are so glad we have you around.

She is such a good dog! Poor thing....they become just like one of our kids.....I know!
We love this dog. Gabe isn't the only one praying for her. Whenever we tell Maxwell Greta is coming he starts looking for her.
Sweet, sweet dog. She really looked so much better this last weekend. Glad she's on the upswing, hopefully we will all have enough Faith to help her through. Love all those pictures of her with the kids. Too cute.
Funny that Adam sort of grows with Greta in the photos. Lol he looked so young in some of her baby shots.
