Spring Break!

Our Spring Break was a lot of fun. Adam had a work trip the next weekend in California, and we were gonna try and make it into a beach trip, but we didn't have the money to at the time. So we decided to just make a fun spring break for our kids locally. We did a lot of fun stuff. 

We went to the Washington Rec Center to swim. It had 2 kiddie play and water slide sections, a lazy river, and a bigger water slide you can go down. We finally convinced Gabe to go on the big water slide with Daddy and she loved it. Ollie wanted nothing to do with it, but loved the lazy river. Milo insisted he go on the big water slide too. We had to ask the life guard it's for 3 and up. We told him he is almost 3, so he let us. Milo was in heaven and wanted to go 12 more times. He now talks about water slides all the time, and at church much to our horror pretends the bench is a water slide as he screams pretending to go down it. So yeah, the place was a hit and we'll have to go back again soon. 

We had a play date at our friends house. 

We did some shopping and got some new pajamas. 

We stopped by to visit Daddy at work and had a picnic lunch/park play with him one day. Plus two more park visits besides that one. 

We wish we would have camped, but the camp ground was full. So we took a day spot and spent the evening playing and having a fire to roast marshmallows. 

Saturday we split up and the boys went with Daddy and the girls went to get Gabe's ears pierced. We told her it was up to her to decide when she wanted to get her ears pierced. I know a lot of people have their girls wait until they're 8. Adam mentioned that he didn't want Gabe more excited to get her ear pierced than to get baptized. I agreed. I got mine in Kindergarten. So we let her choose. She told us not until she was older for a while. One time while at the store we watched another girl get it done so she could see how it was done. The week of Spring Break she wore stickers on her ears and we told her how cute she'd look with real ones, so she decided to go get it done. So that ended up part of our date. 

She was super brave, but nervous. She did awesome. She didn't cry at all. She didn't love it at all, but was happy to have them. We even picked out some fun new ones for her when she gets to change them. 

Meanwhile the boys ate lunch and went miniature golfing for the first time. I was a little sad that I missed seeing it, but so glad they had so much fun. 

Afterwards they played the arcades. 

Gabe and I grabbed lunch and then went to see the new Cinderella movie. It was super cute we loved it. 

We tried to take the kids to play pickle ball. Ollie hated it, and got frustrated when he couldn't hit it, in true Ollie style. Gabe and Milo loved hitting the balls anywhere. 

Our Spring Break was super fun we loved it, despite staying home.
