I read an article in a parenting magazine about a mom who became obsessive with being skinny after having her child. She tells her story and how unhealthy it actually made her. She goes on to say that she finally learned patience, and that her daughter doesn't see her that way. To her daughter she is perfect. I LOVED THIS! To Gabe I am perfect. (For now ;)... ) I think that sometimes we get so caught up in fixing ourselves we don't realize that are kids don't care. They just want to be around us, and near us, and to play with us. I've never looked at it that way. We're the MOM. They turn to us for love, comfort, help, questions, injuries, to learn all they can, etc. We are their heroes. We are perfect and beautiful in their eyes. I thought it was inspiring. So for those of you who might be having a tricky day, just remember your kids think you are the perfect.

Moms are perfect
Lately I've finally found the time to be committed to working out more regularly. I feel I've done it enough that's it's become a habit and it would bug me to stop. That's a wonderful thing to me. Sometimes it's so hard cause I still want results so fast. I want the baby weight gone, and my hair to stop falling out, etc, etc. HA. I get so impatient with it. I know some of you are thinking it's about time, but it's been hard for me personally. I won't go into my reasons why, cause that list is long. ANYWAY I'm getting to my point.....

sometimes i wish i had kids to look at me as perfect. but not yet. at least steve doesnt think i'm too bad.
Thats a great post Mandy! I have always felt that way- even though I probably should be more conscience on my weight- I am a happy person regardless. But thats great that you are working out. I know it gives me more energy than anything and I NEVER see results. Arg! But you are tiny to begin with, so not sure what baby weight you need to lose.. You are just a doll and I think the world of you. I know Gabe thinks you are perfect as do the rest of your family! Smiles
reminds me of that Conference talk the conference before last I think where one of the brethren talked about the how our daughters are watching us. I've always battled with my weight and not liking myself but after this talk I realized I needed to get to a good place in my own head, despite my size so my daughters wouldn't learn their image problems from me. If they hear us say we're fat they'll start saying it about themselves way too soon. The outside world with be hard enough on them we have to teach them to truly love themselves despite the physical, teach them healthy habits and yeah just another huge responsibility us parents have (especially with our sweet beautiful daughters) k off my soap box . . .
You said it all Mand. Great Post! Love Ya!
that was a perfect post!! Brought a tear to my eye truely. I love you and the example you are to me. I look up to you so much and i am greatful for you in my life. Being a mom is a lot of work and even though i have two kids and you only one, you still amaze me with things that even a mom of two wouldn't know. Love ya and thank you!!
Very insightful. I just wish that hero worshiping continued! I could use some good hero-worshipping some days.I think all my kids think I only know how to cook! Could that be why I should be a little more diligent on the exercise part of this blog?
I think you are perfect:)
I always think Charly loves my beer gut :)
Thank you for that! I really needed to hear that! Love you!!!
