They gave her pink band-aids, she was stoked. They also let her choose a treasure from their treasure chest for doing so well. She chose a very cool wand.
Ollie bored at her appointment waiting for the doctor
I figured I'd add in some of her cute stories while I was doing this post.
*We've talked to her about being nice and how mean things can hurt people's feelings. So she now says that things either hurt her thoughts, or break her feelings.
*One day she brought me a Book of Mormon and asked me to read it to her. I let her know there are no pictures in it, she said she was okay with it. I read the introduction and two chapters to her before she started loosing interest. She asked questions the whole time. I was surprised. I guess it just goes to show they are never to young to learn from the scriptures. (We use picture scripture books) She also now asks to take her scriptures to church, cause in Primary they ask them to.
*Whenever we go shopping she likes to pretend that she has a check list of things that she needs. She usually lists things in the cart, followed by a, "Check!"
*Adam took her to Walmart and she saw one of the little pinwheel toys she got in her Easter basket this year. She told Adam, "I didn't know the Easter Bunny shops at Walmart."
*Adam was talking to her about being a big sister and helping Mommy with things. She told him that she is very good at that already. She told him Mommy says, "Gabe help me...., Gabe help me,..... Gabe help me,..." I guess it just shows how much I do rely on my girl to be my big helper. I asked her if it bugs her when I need her help. She told me no, cause she loves me, but sometimes. :)
*One day her brother was being a pill. I should explain he doesn't bite her now unless she starts tormenting him back. So if he hits her, and she swats back, he goes in for a bite or hair pull. If she walks away, he gets over it. One day she was swatting him back and he bit her hard. After he was put in time out and she was calmed down she told me, "Mommy, I don't think Ollie is the perfect baby we were hoping for."
*I've been trying to find her new panties, cause hers are getting too small and riding up, but I can't find any that don't drown her. It's a little tricky. After my third attempt I found some that fit good. She asked me if she needed new ones cause she has a big bum now. Ha! I couldn't find any that fit, cause she has no bum to hold them up. Cute girl.
*Adam went home teaching one night, and she was sad he wasn't home to play. I explained he was doing what he was asked to do, and that Heavenly Father was happy. "So Daddy is keeping the commandments?"
"Yes he is," I told her.
"Good."
*She is so proud of herself for being able to touch her tongue to her nose. She asked me why I couldn't do it, and if it's because I'm huge and pregnant. Sure, that sounds good.
*She came and got me when I was showering one day in a panic telling me that Ollie drank Mtn Dew. I told her there is no where he could have gotten some to drink. She told me from the cup on my nightstand. I explained to her that just had water in it. She said, "No mom, I asked him if it was Mtn Dew and he told me yes."
*She loves to tell you all about her dreams, and ask about yours most days. Usually she asks when she remembers her dreams. Today she told me she had a dream that she was running from a dinosaur who was trying to get the baby monkey she was protecting. He couldn't catch her, cause she was too fast.
*We drove past the cemetery and she goes, "Hey look the cemetery! That's where Greta is." Adam and I looked at each other, and said, "Yep she is." Yeah I wasn't going to explain that one to her right now. I'm okay with her thinking that for now.
Gabe loves reading books right now. We constantly have new library books at the house. She is always wanting to read them.
This day she told me she was gonna read some by herself while I cooked dinner. I found her like this.
Bad picture I know, but she has her big queen bed back to sleep in, and we never know how we're gonna find her. She was sideways here.

Isn't it sad when we don't get the perfect baby we were hoping for - I loved that commentary. I'm glad she is coming up with good questions when she reads her scriptures. She is such a thinker.
She is such a sweet heart of a girl. I just want to give her such a big squeeze. Glad she's learning so much!
