Daddy decided that he would take the kids camping this weekend. He was looking into places around here and wasn't finding anything available, and wasn't sure where a good place to go was. He finally called a guy in our ward that he's kinda becoming friends with. The guy offered to have them go with him and his son (he's divorced) up to his family's property. It's up a place called Kolob Canyon, a different place than our previous hiking pictures. This one is by Kolob reservoir. Elliot, the friend, has a 3 year old son named Maddox who the kids enjoyed playing with. The outings had a few unexpected snags, like a REALLY late dinner, Gabe peeing the bed (which she never does-she always wakes up to pee), and a very quick unsuccessful fishing trip the next morning. It however, still was a good time and they all enjoyed themselves. The kids slept well, were happy, and loved sleeping in the tent and being outdoors with Daddy. They also got to ride Maddox's motorcycle. Even though it was a lot of work for Adam doing it solo, they were all happy they went.

Nice Dad and brave mom to let them go alone. They must have played hard to have Gabe sleep through a bathroom break. I am sure that was a huge treat for them all. I hope you got some rest.
