Ollie's Party

Okay we've been busy so there are a bunch of posts lately. I think I got them all. This was the day of Ollie's b-day.
He was most excited about the balloons....
...then the bike, then everything else. Thanks to everyone who got him gifts. He was very spoiled. We kinda end up doing presents first thing in the morning around her. It's hard to make them wait when you've got nothing else going. Plus Daddy likes to be apart of it before he goes to work.
I had to convince him to wear his helmet if we wanted to ride his bike. It took a bit but we got it on him. Then at the end of the night he wanted to sleep in his helmet and wouldn't take it off.
Gabe got Ollie some cars
Papa and Nana got Ollie this awesome work bench, and we had actually got him a basic tool set, so it all went very well together.
We got Ollie a balance bike. It has no peddles. It's for ages 18-5yrs. The seat adjusts. The kids start out walking the bike, then they ride on the seat and push with their legs. Then they kinda cruise and balance. Supposedly they can go from this straight to a regular bike and skip the training wheel phase. It's kinda all the rave right now. They are starting to have races for them and bike parks made. Crazy eh? Either way, Ollie LOVED it and rode it all day long inside and out.

A better view of the balance bike-no peddles
We just made cupcakes for his bday instead of a cake. (We did the same for Gabe's 2nd bday) Gabe and I made them while he napped and I let the kids sprinkle some when he woke. We made the ones he picked out at the store. Simple and to the point.
Ollie loves anything with water, and we haven't been here forever, so we decided to go to the St George splash pad. Followed by pizza at pier 49....
After we went home to eat cupcakes and play games.
Blowing out the candle
He decided to eat it like this, don't ask me why. But hey, it's his bday so go for it bud. We had ice cream as well...
After eating we had a silly string war. Ollie loved it at first, then hated it. So Daddy, Gabe, and I had a blast. Well Milo got some too. Gabe is already requesting it for her next bday.
We cleaned it up while it was still wet, so it went fast and easy.
Ollie didn't want to play pin the tail on the donkey. He just wanted his bike.
Walmart had glow in the dark balloons. Really cool. The tops of them have a little LED light in them. So we blew some up for the kids to play with in the dark. They went well with the glasses Aunt La and Uncle Trav gave him. Thanks guys!
I'm not good at any kind of dark/night pics, but here are some of the glowing balloons. Super cool.
It was quite the day. He had a great day. We got some fun video from throughout the day, but it's all too long too post. Oh well. Enjoy the pics.
