Milo did wake up at 3:30 Hawaii time. That is 7:30 our time. Hawaii doesn't have daylight savings, so they are four hours ahead right now. He really only did this two mornings and went to bed an hour later. I was ok with that. The other mornings he would wake up at that time, but I'd feed him and he'd go back to bed. We tried to relax and recuperate this day. When he went back down for a nap I slept with him and Adam went and explored. He wasn't as tired cause I let him sleep while I hung out with Milo. We would swap sleeping times.
We didn't see much the night before flying in and driving so it was so nice to see these views from our balcony the next morning. Hurray we actually were in Hawaii! The resort really did have an amazing pool area. All of these little pools hooked together, and then a salt water pool further out. Add in a slide and many jacuzzis, and what more could you want? They all were 24 hours. Well not the slide, cause it had a lifeguard. Then of course the ocean view was beyond that.
We decided to explore the grounds more and walk along the beach trail. The hotel landscaping was beuatiful.

The Hibiscus flowers we saw were amazingly bright and beautiful. They were mainly pink, yellow and red. They were pretty but actually my favorite were the Plumeria blossoming everywhere:
I never took a pic of these kind, and got this one's pic off the internet, but they were so pretty. All kinds of colors, and I guess one of the most common for Lei's. They were common in people's hair. I actually brought home some fake ones to wear in your hair for Gabe and I. Our Lei's weren't made from them though.
We went during the end of winter/rainy season. We knew we were, and I was ok with it. Adam would have liked it more sunny most days, but I thought it was perfect. It was in the seventies. The rain cooled it off and it wasn't as humid. Also Misquotes are worse when it's hot and humid, so on the sunniest warm day we were eaten by them. I'm glad it wasn't the whole time. We only had one really rainy day. Most were just overcast. If it did rain, it lasted a few minutes and was done. The waves at some of the beaches were a little crazy because of the season though. So you had to be careful where and when you went.
Our hotel had this place you could retire your Lei's if you wanted. I was too selfish and kept mine as long as I could, but I still thought it was cool people put theirs here.
As we walked around we found that in our hotel lobby a lot of venders would come and sell their trinkets to tourists for a few hours in a day. There was some fun stuff. This guy was getting a tattoo. It was nuts. He got it with this stick with this razor blade that they would pound with this hammer. It was old-school style and painful looking.
We left the hotel and ended up in this shopping center to try and find some lunch. This little place on the corner was called Savage Shrimp. It was our favorite seafood place we tried. I got me some SUPER yummy garlic shrimp tacos. Adam got fish and chips. He said they were almost as good as New Zealand, but not quite. ;) they weren't as big as the ones in NZ either I guess. I thought his fish was amazing. It like melted in your mouth. SOOO good.
Milo got to try or sample a few new things on this trip. Some fish, shrimp, chocolate, coconut, pineapple, soda, and shaved ice dessert. :) Don't worry we had plenty of Benadryl handy incase he was allergic. He loved it all. Lucky boy.
Proof he does eat some fish. Kinda funny it surprises people, cause he ate it his whole mission.
We walked the shops some and took Milo back to the hotel for a long nap. We watched a movie on our iPad out on the balcony while he slept. When he woke up we went swimming in the pools at the hotel. No pics, cause we were in the water. We had to try out the slide. Milo was in a floaty and happy and content to hang out with us. When we came back up we got ready for dinner.
When you have worked for EJ for a while and build your office up a bunch they can eventually offer you what they call partnership. Or stock in the company. When you are a General Partner you are responsible to host some of the div trips throughout the year. You just have dinner with the FA's or help make sure people know where to go if they need it. Our host's name was Kay and her husband Jon, and two older sons were there. They took us and a few other couples to dinner Sunday night to Keoki's Paradise. It was a fun little place with a jungle atmosphere. You don't have to go to dinner with them. It's kinda nice to mingle a little with other FA's, and they pay for it, so that's a plus. This was the only dinner Milo truly struggled with. He screamed through most of it. Luckily most of the people there had kids or were parents and were nice about it. Kay's boys Jack and Luke liked talking with Adam a lot, so when we had dinners they'd all usually come join us. They were a fun family. This place was yummy. Adam got Filet Minion and I got seafood risotto.
The porta crib they had. We liked having it, except he would occasionally get his legs stuck.
