On Monday we celebrated Ollie's birthday. During his first nap, Gabe and I decorated the house with balloons and streamers, and fun signs. She was so excited when he woke up she made me turn off the the lights (even though it was day time and you could still see) so that we could turn them on and he could be surprised. "That's how you do surprises," she told me.
Aunt Laurel let Gabe decorate cupcakes in whatever color she wanted. Pink it was of course. Gabe loved it.
Laurel helped me decorate a fun cake for Ollie. He is into playing cars, so we made a car cake. I took multiple pictures so you can see the writing on all the sides. It says, "Ollie's 1st Birthday." My next post will have all his cake eating experiences.

Ollie was good at opening presents. Once he got the hang of it, he enjoyed the ripping. Thanks to all for his fun gifts! He's in a onesie, cause we had already prepped him for cake eating, and realized we should probably do presents first.
