Hanging in There

I figured I'd do a quick update of things on our end. I think despite how anxious all of us are about this baby coming, we are all hanging in there. It's starting to wear on both Adam and Gabe a little as well. They are both ready for Ollie to make an appearance, sometimes I think more than I am. I have to keep reminding myself I still have a little less than two weeks until my due date. I'm not even over yet, even though some days it feels like it. Yesterday Adam had the day off. We tried to get out and do some shopping so I could walk around some. Adam was hoping to induce labor by making me walk everywhere. It didn't work, I ended up standing with swollen feet looking at stuff at the stores, more than I walked. Oh well. Adam had his sights on having this child today, and I'm not sure that will happen for him. I did however, have the most contractions I've had last night around midnight to about two thirty in the morning. It kept me up. I thought maybe for sure he'd get his wish. They chilled out and I finally got to get some sleep. I've been cramping so much with this kid, I'm starting to second guess myself as to whether I really am having contractions or not. Some days it's hard to tell.

The tricky thing is it's kinda a roller coaster as to how I feel. Sometimes he's so low he feels like he's gonna fall out, and I can't walk. It numbs all my nerves in my legs, and when he moves I get shooting pains. Lately he has been doing summersaults I swear. I told Adam, what's with this active kid? Doesn't he know he's kickin my trash being so big playing in there? SO I end up hanging on the couch a lot more in the day than I would like to. Poor Gabe is used to it by now. Sometimes I'm there for a while, and sometimes just an hour until he moves. It's making my days seem a lot longer than I would like. Some days I feel like I have another month to go, and I feel fine. Meanwhile my house cleaning is getting neglected. It's driving me a little crazy. As much of a cleaning neat freak that I am right now, I can't bring myself to get down and scrub it. So whoever ends up here helping with Gabe, forgive my house in advance please. :)

I think we are on the up swing with our colds. Mine is gone, and Gabe has stopped coughing. We did wipe her nose a few times yesterday, but I see an end in sight. Hurray! My next appointment is tomorrow so we'll what the doctor thinks. I think this week will go by faster with a shortened work week for Adam, and some fun activities around town to go to. I hope everyone has a nice week.

I know the feeling...seriously at the end you just keep wondering if they will ever come!! I'll admit that's partly why we evicted Rebekah on her due date!! :)

I didn't know you had decided on a name I'm guessing from the nickname his name will be Oliver??? SO CUTE!!

We miss you guys!! I think that when it gets cold you guys should plan a trip to Vegas -- so we can all meet the new kids!!

I'm home, showered and ready to come. Don't worry about the house cleaning. Gabe and I will handle that for you when I get there. I'm sorry it's been so rough this go-round. Hopefully the Doctor will have really great news and maybe, just maybe, the exam will push it over the edge. Keep your phone ready to call me!

I think someone is getting a little anxious for his little boy to arive huh!! So funny, that sucks for you though having to stand with the swollen feet. Can't wait to see the little man though, that is always the funnest to compare siblings and see what they look like or who they look like. Time is almost here hang in there sis!!
