Easter Basket Fun

So Grandpa and Grandma Weiss send the kiddos Easter stuff in a package each year. Our kids aren't there for their annual Easter egg hunt with all the cousins, so they like us to feel included and loved. We think it's very sweet of them, thanks again guys! Inside was a little basket full of goodies, nicknacks, and candy for them to share. Among the little gadgets were the foam animals that come in capsules. (I don't know what they are officially called) You stick the capsule in warm water, it dissolves, and a sponge animal appears and grows. Pretty tricky. Gabe LOVED it. Here are pictures of us trying it out. We had a few that didn't work out, but it most turned out actually pretty cool. Gabe kept guessing we'd get a sheep, (the back showed the animals it could be) and we didn't get one. That's okay, cause we got a good variety. The end picture doesn't do them justice. I rounded up the ones I could find to get a picture, and they were some funny ones. There is a pig, a cow, a horse and a goose in that picture. If any of you were wondering. She carried them around all day in her pockets and in things, so they weren't quit in tip top shape, but you get the drift.

Ollie was a very patient observer

Oh man, I used to love those little things. We bought some for Sarah Grace about a year ago and threw them in the tub with her. HUGE MISTAKE! She thought they were bugs and refused to take a bath for the longest time. That so thoughtful of your family to include Gabe & Ollie!

My kids always think those are fun too. I like that Gabe wanted to carry them around with her too. Bummer she didn't get her sheep.
