Life with Ollie

*Ollie never takes his hat or jacket or shoes off right now.

*He is in this new phase where he has no appetite. It's really hard getting him to eat anything. Even grapes or crackers, which he usually always eats. Usually he only does that when sick or teething, now it's just a fun new phase.

*I always freak when he gets adventurous and tries new things, like climbing or jumping. His newest thing is hanging off things. He'll go over to the kitchen table reach up, grab on then lift his legs and just hang. He does it on everything, including open drawers. One of these days something is gonna fall on him.
*He can be found riding this car most of the day. Best investment we've ever made.
*He's into fighting baths lately. It's weird, cause he's such a water boy. I think it's the newness of the bathroom. He's getting better.

*He loves babies. This makes me happy. He really has never cared much for any of Gabe's toys. It's kinda nice that her girliness hasn't rubbed off on him. He'll still choose a car or train over barbies or ponies. He does however, love to cuddle baby dolls. He holds them close and says,  'Baby. baby." This gives me some kinda hope that he's not going to try to body slam the baby when it gets here. :)

*He always wants to say his own prayers, so we let him mumble. Gabe has taken it upon herself to teach him how. So usually even if she is praying, he tries to copy.

*He is finally starting to mimic our words. Usually whatever Gabe is trying to tell us, he tries to too. He still signs a lot of things though.

*He has picked up some funny new words on his own like: honk honk, crash, truck, and bonk when he falls down. He's getting into this really shy stage. Especially when you put him on the spot trying to get him to do something. We think it's part of the reason he fights saying things. He doesn't love being singled out if it isn't his idea.

*Whenever Gabe is crying or in time out he thinks he needs to be too.

*He tries anything to get you to laugh, he's quite the character.
*He still loves to read, especially if it has animals or cars in it.
*He hates nursery. HATES it. It's hard to get him off our laps to even go explore. We have given up trying to sneak out and leave, it only makes it worse. The leaders tell us it's okay to let him cry for a minute. I am okay with this too, I think it's okay to let kids for a minute, BUT they don't know our persistent son. He would go for two hours if he wasn't getting his way. Not just crying, SCREAMING. So right now Adam and I trade off weeks going in there with him. I think he'll be more like Gabe than we thought. We had to hang out there with her until she got comfortable enough, that we could leave. I don't feel too bad though. A lot of women have reassured me lately that out of their five or six kids, only one went in without a problem. Come on baby number three! :)

He is growing up too fast! And what a handsome boy too. He sure has personality.

He sure is a cutie. Too bad about nursery. Maybe he'll come to like it soon.

I can't believe how big he looks!!! He looks like such a little man instead of a baby. His hat is so cute. I love that he cuddles the baby dolls. He will be such an awesome big brother. And it's always adorable when they start saying their own prayers...love it! Gotta love adventurous little boys! Hilarious he thinks he needs to be in time out when Gabe is. Can't wait to hear him jabber his new words. What a cute boy!!!
