Just when I thought I didn't have enough to do around the house, I decided to add a box project for Gabe! Ha. I've been seeing on Pinterest a bunch of fun kid stuff you can make out of boxes. Well since we just moved, and have plenty of boxes on hand, I decided that I would attempt a project. Why I didn't wait until my unpacking was done I don't know. Call it a nice break. Gabe loves to dress up and be a princess, so it only made sense that I attempt the box castle that I had seen. Now that she has her own from, she has room for it too. It wasn't hard, but it wasn't easy either. I think cutting things out was the hardest thing, cause we couldn't find our razor blades. They are in a box somewhere still. Instead of buying some more, I attempted it without. So my lines might not be a pretty or as straight as they could have been, but we made it just fine. I turned the project over to Daddy and Gabe for details. I cut out all the fun stuff, and Daddy helped Gabe glue the stones on herself. She then got to spray paint with Daddy, which was by far her favorite part of the whole deal. We now have a castle for the princess to play in. She usually makes Daddy or Ollie be the prince. When I play I'm usually the mom, or a bad guy. Ha! Then she usually invites you in for a "lemon aid party" or "hot chocolate party". (Instead of tea party-trying to teach her tea is a yucky drink) She also told me, "Mom it needs a table and chairs. Castles have tables and chairs." So we usually set up the kid's camping chairs with a box as a table so she can properly entertain her guests. Anyway, it's kept her pretty happy for the time being, and will eventually get tossed, but for now her room is her own enchanted kingdom.
Ollie hung out inside the boxes and played games on my phone to entertain himself
A work in progress-She wore her dress most of the time so she would be ready to play when it was done
Hurray it's finished!
Come on inside for some lemon aid.

Mandy you are amazing! What a great playhouse. I love the fact that her room actually fits it! Great fun times a head...
Holy cow! So awesome!!! I love the cute pics of her helping too. I may have to copy and try this out with our many extra boxes laying around. What a fun Mom you are. Tell Gabe I love her castle and she makes a beautiful princess. It's funny she makes you the bad guy. Ha. Ollie looks like such a "boy" just chillin in the boxes. Too cute!
You did a great job!!! And very creative too!
