Random Prego Thoughts #3

I think I'm on #3, am I? Ha. I know it's a lot of posts in one day, even for me, but I am up and can't sleep. So scroll down for a page full of posting. I think this is the 4th? It's too hot, I'm uncomfortable, blah blah blah. You know the drill, you never hear the end of it. Anyway I am going to do another post for today anyway, cause I have a lot on my mind, and blogging seems to help.

THOUGHT#1- So did I mention I was almost sideswiped in the car today on the way to church? I didn't mention, cause I am now. :) By none other than our relief society president herself. Poor woman felt so bad. I was driving in my lane and talking to Gabe at the same time. I was thinking at first that it was my fault and I had drifted into her lane while trying to talk with my child. Nope, she was in my lane. I'm kinda a tunnel vision driver. It freaks Adam out. I can't really help it. If I were to sight see and gaze at things out my side windows, even out the front window but to the side when driving, the car would go that direction. Maybe I'm not coordinated enough to drive? Ha. Even having to turn and talk to Gabe makes me nervous. Adam always says one of these days I'm gonna get hit by someone coming into my lane, and I won't even know it's coming. In my defense, I have been driving for ten years now with no accidents to report. *Knock on wood* Not even a ticket, I really am a pretty safe driver. I check my blind spots and mirrors, and barely even speed.
(*SIDE STORY: We were driving one day, and I was in the passenger seat. I saw a billboard for Adam work and said something like, "Oh you guys got a new billboard up?" He looked at me and said, "yeah it's been up for a while." I tried to make the excuse that I never drive that way, but that wasn't true at the time. We both know that it's cause I'm kinda oblivious to things like that when I drive. I don't know if I'll ever hear the end of it from him. *)
ANYWAY, when realizing I was about to get hit, I swerved as much as I could to the right. When she realized she was about to hit me, she swerved back into her lane and all was well. I think she felt like more of an idiot when she realized I was pulling into the church parking lot too. She felt REALLY bad when she realized it was me, a very pregnant woman who had a child with me. She apologized about 5 times to me. She had been talking to this lady she was giving a ride to, and just wasn't paying attention at the moment. It got me thinking how scary that would have been, even with a little bump. My belly is all the way to the steering wheel, and if an airbag had gone off, it could have been damaging I think. Thankfully it didn't, and all was okay. I have fears like that all the time when I drive right now. I don't want to drive anywhere being so big, afraid something could happen.

P.S. Adam had a N-dot construction guy back into his work truck at a stop light the other day. He barely nicked him, and everyone was okay, but now Adam has to deal with getting the government to pay for his bumper instead of a normal insurance procedure. Which is a lot of run-around business he isn't excited to deal with.

THOUGHT #2- Speaking of being big, I am. We know all know it. I complain about it, some of you have seen it. It's not so great. Well nothing fits me. Nothing normal, nothing maternity. NOTHING!!! My maternity garments cut into me, my pants all hurt me. My big pajama t shirts that are the big comfy kind you sleep in, don't even cover this belly. What's a girl to do? Well I wear a lot of Adam's mission Lava Lava's around the house. (not sure on spelling) they are pretty much pieces of fabric you wrap around you like a skirt. Very comfy, and I would wear them out if I knew they'd stay securely in place. I have one pair of scrubs that are still okay. Other than that, zip. I find myself wearing my skirt and maternity dress throughout the week. I am not a dress girl, so it shows how desperate I am. It pleases Gabe we both are wearing pretty dresses. She tries to talk me into it every day so we can both be princesses.

THOUGHT#3- Okay after having cramping a lot on Saturday I was really annoyed. I spent a lot of the day laying down. Today rolls around and I feel fine. Besides two more comments at church on how big I am. The shocked faces when I tell them I still got a month. One lady said, "No you don't that kid will come early." I'm okay with that once September hits. However, having to deal with Braxton hicks is getting really old. Sunday School went just fine, besides sweating to death and dying of heat while teaching. Relief Society I had four during the hour. Now my doctor said, six or more in an hour I should be alarmed. Well then I get home and about a half hour into being home, I have four more within another hour. What is the deal here folks? I get it body, prepare, but does it have to be so close together that it gets me nervous enough to have to start counting them. I ended up laying down and they chilled out. I then had two during dinner. Okay they are getting to be a nuisance. Oh well if it really is going to help my body prepare for this kid, it's more than it did when Gabe was supposed to be coming. (my body didn't even dilate for her) This little guy gets the hiccups a lot more than Gabe ever did too. Usually every night when I'm trying to sleep. I'm pretty sure he's in his head down position too. I can now feel little feet like jabs up in my rib cage, and head like pressure down south. So that's a good thing!

So here I am rambling or complaining again depending on how you look at it. I feel better though. I guess I did warn you they were pregnancy thoughts, and at this stage, it's probably complaining. :)

I can't remember when you start your weekly visits.Be sure and let us know if you are showing any effacing or such. I'm sorry your are miserable in your clothes. I had a denim jumper I wore everyday during the last summer months of pregnancy. It was cooler, looser and I stayed home most of the time so I didn't care how I looked. Want me to make you one?

I wear my green dress often. Nothing across my belly to make it itch more than it does.

I freak about driving too. I hate it!

I'm glad you are writing all of your pregnancy tales down! It may seem like a bunch of rambling but one day you'll read it and laugh and maybe even miss it!

At least I wish I would have written more down. Missed seeing you in Primary Sunday! Hope all will go well with Sunday School!

I'm sorry you got side swiped! That does make you extra nervous being pregnant! And It's never fun when nothing fits anymore. I had braxton hicks all through my pregnancies. We're talking tons a day just like you say. So don't worry too much about them. They are obnoxious though, I always felt like I couldn't even bend over or anything until they were done. :( But yea you've almost made it! :)
