Happy Halloween all! Gabe had a Halloween party at her Preschool. They have these two HUGE stuffed bears outside that they decorate for different things. On normal days, they hold the "letter of the day" that they are learning that day. (So parents know what they are on, and can ask their kids about) It's really cute. Today one was a witch.
(Here's a random picture of them from earlier this month dressed as ghosts)
I walked up and one mom was asking is she could get a group picture. I'm glad she asked, cause I'm one of those moms that loves to take pictures of everything, but I wouldn't have asked in this situation. Gabe is the little witch on the far left.
Gabe came home just gushing over all that she did while there. I love that she loves it.
Here are some pictures of our little Witch. I thought she might choose to be something really girlie this year like a princess or a fairy. She did consider those, but she's very into the "spookiness" of Halloween this year. She was all about being a scary witch. Cute girl.
We put silver glitter hair spray in her hair, she loved it.
Here's some pictures of our Cowboy. I wanted to theme my kids in spooky stuff this year, but Ollie was persistent on having this horse. We tried one on in the store and he loved it. But when I ordered one, and it came, he wanted nothing to do with it. Guess how happy that made us. We worried he wouldn't touch it today, which he wouldn't at first. We bribed him with candy, and told him if he wanted some while out trick or treating, he had to wear it. It worked, and he did and ended up loving it. Especially when he saw all the other kids dressed up while we were out and about.
Our little skeleton. Yep, we whipped out the skeleton sweats once again to have Milo dress up. All of our kids have worn these their first Halloween. Passing it down is fun to do, and he was very content to wear them. Looking adorable in them as well might I add.
All of them together in one big ball of crazy. :0)
Out Trick or Treating. We went to this recommended neighborhood. It's the most beautiful neighborhood, I'd live there in my wildest dreams. All the people decorate their houses all festive, and they block of the streets so it's safe. They have so many people come out to trick or treat there, the owners set up tables outside their houses to hand out candy. Some set up some haunted houses, it was cute.
This was Ollie screaming, "Let's go!" He wanted more candy and we were moving too slow for him. He wouldn't say Trick or Treat, he'd walk up and say, "Cahn-nee?" He'd just nicely ask for a candy.
Milo was a really good boy in the stroller
This witch was handing out homemade root beer. While it was dished up, she would ask for some tricks from the kids, or she'd make them sing songs for their treat. She said Halloween is a Witch's B-day, so she made them sing "Happy Birthday". We thought it was cute. This one Dad was ticked, and made his kids leave, and they were little and enjoying it. It was nice to stop and enjoy and not just have it be all about the candy. It was nice to have the festiveness, and we appreciated it.
This is Carter from her Preschool. She kept telling me he went to her school, so we walked together for a bit. We ended up taking their picture. It's funny how social she is, and how shy he was. Cute.
We finally ended on our street. We thought it was a good opportunity to meet some neighbors. It's a quiet street so my kids got handfuls of candy, which they liked. Most of the people we met were older couples. It was still nice to meet them. Most of the houses are rentals we found out.
Anyway, it was a very fun day.

That sounds like such a fun time!! Levi could have been Ollie's horse. Good times!! They look adorable. Wish we had an awesome neighborhood that blocked everything off and had it all set up. We have to drive forever to get house to house. but a lot of people give out king size candy since it's always such a pain to trick or treat around here. Not sure what my kid needs a bucket full of king sizes tho.
Love that street that does so much for halloween. Thats great. The kids look adorable, of course.
