July 4th

Our Holiday weekend wasn't as eventful as we would have liked, but still enjoyable. Adam did some mountain biking Saturday while we slept. We then went to a ward party at a member's house for a bit. We then had a baptism to go to, for a little girl in my primary.

Sunday after church we hung out, popped some fireworks, ate some food, and all hung out together. We tried to give Gabe a later nap, so she could watch some fireworks that night. They started way past her bedtime, so we weren't sure how she'd do. She actually stayed pretty happy, but she was falling asleep everywhere. HA. We decided to take her to a park to distract her. We then headed over to the Marina to watch some fireworks, one of the only places you can watch fireworks without going to the lake or the ballpark. It was so busy, so we parked and stayed in our car. Gabe was zoned watching them , with an occasional, "Wow!" or "Pretty Pink one!" or a "Daddy see it?" She still wasn't quite entertained enough to watch the whole firework show. I think she would have been different if we were closer. Oh well, maybe next year. She did enjoy eating the munchies we brought to eat while watching. We had a nice holiday spending time together. I hope everyone else had a nice weekend.

Gabe was very hesitant about the loud pop, that pop-its made. She didn't want to do them. Daddy soon get her warmed up and used to the idea, and she loved them.

Sounds like perfect, low-key fun!
BTW, we used to go park at the church and hang out there to watch the fireworks over the Nugget. Perfect view!

I'm glad she enjoyed the fireworks. We were pretty nervous about Sarah Grace liking them this year too! The pictures are adorable, she is such a pretty little thing!
